Mike Clancy is a British trade union leader.
Clancy grew up in Liverpool and studied law before pursuing a career in industrial relations. He undertook further study at the University of Warwick, then became a researcher at the Clearing Bank Union. He then became a negotiator for the union, before in 1989 becoming an area secretary for the Engineers' and Managers' Association. He later became a national officer for the union, with time out in 2000 to complete an MBA at Cranfield University. [1] [2]
In 2001, the EMA merged into the new Prospect, with Clancy remaining a national officer until 2004, when he was appointed as deputy general secretary. He was elected as general secretary in 2012, also winning a seat on the General Council of the Trades Union Congress. In 2016, he was also appointed to the council of ACAS, and from 2017 he sat on the Nuclear Industry Council. [1] [2]

The Communist Party of Australia (CPA) is a communist party in Australia. It was founded in 1971 as the Socialist Party of Australia (SPA) and adopted its current name in 1996. The party was established by former members of the original Communist Party of Australia who resigned or were expelled due to internal disagreements over the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia and the party's adoption of Eurocommunism. The party had its first and only electoral win in 2012 when it gained a seat on the Auburn City Council, which they held until 2016.

Michael J. Hunter is an American politician from the state of Oklahoma. Hunter served as the Secretary of State of Oklahoma from 1999 to 2002, having been appointed by Governor of Oklahoma Frank Keating. On November 1, 2016, he was appointed to the same post by Governor Mary Fallin. He also served as Special Counsel to the Governor. On February 20, 2017, Hunter was appointed Attorney General of Oklahoma to replace Scott Pruitt who resigned to become the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. On November 8, 2018, Hunter won election as Attorney General.
Matthew James Thistlethwaite is an Australian politician. He has been an Australian Labor Party member of the Australian House of Representatives since 2013, representing the south-eastern electorate of Kingsford Smith. He was formerly a member of the Australian Senate from 2011 to 2013. Since 1 June 2022, Thistlethwaite has served as Assistant Minister for Defence, Veterans' Affairs and the Republic in the ministry of Anthony Albanese.

The general secretary of Unite is Sharon Graham, who was elected on 25 August 2021 with 46,696 votes on a turnout of 124,127, with her term beginning on 26 August 2021.

Lieutenant General Seán Clancy is an Irish Air Corps general and current Chief of Staff of the Irish Defence Forces since 29 September 2021. On 15 May 2024 it was announced that he would be the next chair of the European Union Military Committee (EUMC) with the rank of general.
