Michael Clark is a former American football coach He served as the head football coach at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia from 1995 to 2021, compiling a record of 166-103-1. [1] While at Bridgewater, he has led a remarkable turnaround of a historically struggling program. In 2001, he led Bridgewater to the NCAA Division III National Championship game, which they narrowly lost to Mount Union, 30–27. [2] Clark's 2001 Bridgewater team is the only Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) team to appear in the NCAA Division III National Championship title game. Clark retired after the spring season in 2021. [3]

Commonwealth Coast Football was a single-sport athletic conference that competed in football in the NCAA's Division III. It began play as CCC Football in 2017 after the New England Football Conference (NEFC) was renamed following the 2016 season. CCC Football was administered by the Commonwealth Coast Conference.

The Trinity Tigers is the nickname for the sports teams of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. In the 1950s, LeeRoy was an actual tiger who was brought to sporting events, but today LeeRoy is portrayed by a student wearing a tiger suit. Barbara Stevens is the former head coach of the Bentley University women's basketball team. Stevens had previously served as head basketball coach for Clark University and Massachusetts. Stevens was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006. She was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020.
Mike Tressel is an American football coach who is currently the defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach for the Wisconsin Badgers. Tressel, the nephew of former Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel, joined the University of Cincinnati's football coaching staff under Mark Dantonio in 2004. Tressel followed Dantonio to Michigan State when he was hired there in December 2006. He was named the acting head coach when Dantonio announced his retirement in February 2020. Tressel was one of two Dantonio assistants retained by Dantonio's successor, Mel Tucker.
The 2001 Mount Union Purple Raiders football team was an American football team that represented the University of Mount Union in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) during the 2001 NCAA Division III football season. In their 16th year under head coach Larry Kehres, the Purple Raiders compiled a perfect 14–0 record, won the OAC championship, and outscored opponents by a total of 582 to 155. They qualified for the NCAA Division III playoffs and advanced to the national championship team, defeating the Bridgewater Eagles, 30–27.
