The Mabouya Valley in eastern St. Lucia in Dennery District contains two rivers, the Grande Rivière du Mabouya and the Dernière Rivière. The forested hillsides have, in places, been cleared for farming and the valley receives annual rainfall of 3000 mm (118 inches) at its head in Barre de l'Isle and 2000 mm (79 inches) at La Caye.
The Dennery River is the river on the southern end of the fishing village of Dennery on the island of Saint Lucia. The community of Dennery is built on its flood plain and in recent times has been the cause of serious flooding in the coastal community. It drains into the Atlantic Ocean.
Sault Falls is a 15-to-20-metre high waterfall near Dennery in Saint Lucia.

Étienne Dennery was a French academic, public servant and diplomat. Dennery studied at the École normale supérieure from 1923 to 1926 and became agrégé in history and geography. He received an Albert Kahn grant to travel abroad and spent time in China, India and Japan studying demographics and gathering material for a book published in French in 1930 and translated into English in 1931 under the title Asia's Teeming Millions: and its problems for the West. He later worked as an economic expert for the Lytton Commission on Manchuria. He then taught at the École Libre des Sciences Politiques, the Institute of Higher International Studies, and at HEC Paris as well as giving invited lectures throughout the Northwestern United States. In 1935, Dennery and Louis Joxe co-founded the Centre d'études de politique étrangère which Joxe described as inspired by the British Royal Institute of International Affairs.
Ellaisa Marquis is a Saint Lucian footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Saint Lucia women's national team, and has led the team as captain for many years. In 2019, Saint Lucia Star called her Saint Lucia's "marquis player" in women's football. Marquis was awarded the Senior Female Footballer of the Year for 2015 by the St Lucia Football Association (SLFA).
The 1939 Fordham Rams football team represented Fordham University as an independent during the 1939 college football season. Led by seventh-year head coach Jim Crowley, the Rams compiled a record of 6–2. The season opener against Waynesburg was the first college football game ever broadcast on television. Fordham played home games at the Polo Grounds in Manhattan.

Angelina Phera Polius is a Saint Lucian politician, senator in the Upper house and former veteran educator. Polius contested the 2021 Saint Lucia General Election as a United Workers Party Candidate for the Dennery North Constituency. She was unsuccessful against the incumbent Shawn Edward.
