Mike Thiessen is an American football coach and former player. He currently serves as the assistant head coach, offensive coordinator, and quarterbacks coach at the United States Air Force Academy. He has spent his entire coaching career with Air Force Falcons football.
Thiessen played quarterback for the Air Force Falcons from 1997 to 2000. He was a two-year starter, and a team captain as a senior. Also as a senior, Thiessen led the team in rushing with 713 yards (10 touchdowns), while throwing for 1687 yards (13 touchdowns). He was named the Mountain West Conference offensive player of the year in the fall of 2000. [2]
Thiessen played centerfield for Air Force as well. Along with his senior season in football, he was an All-American baseball player. He has held, or holds, ten Air Force Academy records. [2]
After graduation in 2001, Thiessen was a 42nd round draft pick of the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2001. He played in 27 games with the Yakima Bears “A” team and led the squad with a .308 batting average. His first military assignment was at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., working in the 62nd Fighter Squadron. He entered the World Class Athlete Program and played with the Lancaster JetHawks, an advanced A affiliate of the Diamondbacks in 2003. He hit .278 with five homers and 42 runs scored in 85 games. Following that season, he returned to Luke and worked in personnel. [2]
Following the completion of his military commitments and baseball career, Thiessen returned to Air Force Academy to coach and teach at the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School. While at the prep school, Thiessen taught algebra, chemistry, and calculus and served as the offensive coordinator for the football team. His stay lasted from 2004-2006. [2]
Thiessen joined the Air Force Falcons football staff in 2007, starting out as the wide receivers coach. He was promoted to co-offensive coordinator prior to the 2010 season. Four years later (2014), He took over as the sole offensive coordinator. The following year, Thiessen moved from coaching the wide receivers to coaching the quarterbacks. [2]
Thiessen and his wife, Kristen (McClellan), have two children, Andrew and Brooke.
Thiessen is a member of the United States Air Force Academy Athletic Hall of Fame. [2]
Patrick Joseph Sullivan was an American professional football player and college coach. An All-America quarterback for the Auburn Tigers, he won the Heisman Trophy in 1971 and then played six seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Atlanta Falcons and Washington Redskins. Sullivan was a head football coach at Samford University, a position he held from 2007 to 2014. He was previously the head football coach at Texas Christian University (TCU) from 1992 to 1997 and the offensive coordinator at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) from 1999 to 2006. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a player in 1991.
David Patrick Ragone is an American football coach and former quarterback who currently serves as quarterbacks coach for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He was previously the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons and also served as an assistant coach for the Chicago Bears, Washington Redskins and Tennessee Titans.

Sonny Jack Cumbie is an American football coach and former quarterback. He is the head football coach at Louisiana Tech University, a position he has held since the 2022 season. Cumbie previously served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Texas Tech University and was the interim head coach after the departure of Matt Wells in 2021. He also served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Texas Christian University (TCU). Cumbie played college football at Texas Tech and was the team's starting quarterback during the 2004 season, when he led the nation in passing and total offense and a guided the Red Raiders to win in the 2004 Holiday Bowl, earning MVP honors for the game. Cumbie played professionally in the Arena Football League (AFL), the Indoor Football League (IFL), and briefly in the National Football League (NFL).
North Clayton High School is a four-year public high school located in unincorporated Clayton County, Georgia, United States, with an Atlanta postal address. It is part of the Clayton County Public Schools. The school was created in 1937 as Flat Rock School, serving 44 students in grades 8–10 with eight teachers. Grades 11 and 12 were added the following year, and the school was given its current name.

He played college football at the University of Kansas. A former quarterback turned wide receiver in college, he broke multiple Kansas receiving records and played a key role in the Jayhawks winning the 2008 Orange Bowl his sophomore year as well as helping lead the Jayhawks to win the 2008 Insight Bowl his junior year.
Darrin Earl Chiaverini is an American college football coach and former wide receiver. He is the head football coach for Northeastern State University, a position he has held since 2024. He played college football at Colorado. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 1999 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns.
Zachary Ross Robinson is an American football coach who is the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played quarterback at Oklahoma State and was selected by the New England Patriots in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He was also a member of the Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, and Cincinnati Bengals before retiring in 2013. Robinson became a coach in 2019, serving as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Rams.

The 2009 Bowling Green Falcons football team represented Bowling Green State University during the 2009 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by first-year head coach Dave Clawson and played in the East Division of the Mid-American Conference. They played their home games at Doyt Perry Stadium. They finished the season 7–6, 6–2 in MAC play to finish in third place in the East Division. They were invited to the Humanitarian Bowl where they lost to Idaho.
