James Michael White (born August 11, 1957) is an American college football coach and former professional player. He served as head football coach at Albany State University (ASU) in Albany, Georgia from 2000 to 2014 and Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina from 2015 to 2019. White played college football as a defensive tackle at Albany State during the late 1970s, and later was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fourth round of the 1979 NFL draft. He also played for the Seattle Seahawks.
After his playing career ended, White joined the coaching staff at his alma mater in 1984 as the defensive line coach, and was promoted to defensive coordinator in 1989. In 1997, White became the assistant head coach, and in 2000, was named head coach of the Albany State Golden Rams. He continued to serve as the defensive coordinator while he was head coach. His 2010 Albany State team was named SBN Black College National Champions.
On December 18, 2014, White was named head football coach at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. [2]

The 2012 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs football team represented Louisiana Tech University as a member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) during the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Led by third-year head coach Sonny Dykes, the Bulldogs played five of their six home games at Joe Aillet Stadium in Ruston, Louisiana and one at Independence Stadium in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Bulldogs finished the season 9–3 overall and 4–2 in conference play to place third in the WAC. Despite having one of the most successful seasons in program history, the Bulldogs did not play in a bowl game. They were initially invited to the Independence Bowl, but asked for more time to decide to see if other options opened up. No other bowl invited them, and the Independence Bowl selected Ohio instead.
James Walter Hopson is an American football coach and former player. In 2016, Hopson made history as the only head coach in the history of the state of Mississippi to guide two different in-state universities to bowl games when he led the University of Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles to a victory in the New Orleans Bowl. During his head-coaching tenure with the University of Southern Mississippi (2016–2020), Hopson ushered the Golden Eagles to four straight bowl-eligible seasons, with his defenses and offenses ranking in the top-5 and top-25 in the NCAA, respectively. Additionally, in his four full seasons from 2016 to 2019, Hopson guided the University of Southern Mississippi to 20 conference wins, which made him the second-winningest coach in Conference-USA during that span.
