Mike del Mundo is a comic book artist. He has published mainly as an artist for Marvel Comics, drawing series such as Uncanny X-Men , Avengers, Elektra, Immortal Hulk, and Deadpool Kills Deadpool , and he has received multiple nominations for his work as a cover artist at Marvel. In August 2021, Del Mundo was among a group of creators who formed a deal with the subscription-based newsletter platform Substack to publish creator-owned comics project, and was announced by Jonathan Hickman as the main artist, together with Mike Huddleston, working for the new series Three Worlds / Three Moons. He also created the poster for the American television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 's episode "Turn, Turn, Turn". [1]

Mike del Mundo was born in 1980. His father was a musician, his mother was a teacher. The Filipino-born Canadian student was an active b-boy. He took part a competitions between Canada and the UK. [2]

Style

Mike del Mundo's work looks like a story. He gives the feeling of action with blurred lines. Mike draws in a bright colors. He provides a many details. He can tell a story without any words. [3]

He is best known for his cover art, as well as his interior work on titles such as Elektra , Weirdworld , X-Men: Legacy , and Avengers . [3]

Dark Reign is a 2008 to 2009 comic book branding used by Marvel Comics. It deals with the aftermath of the "Secret Invasion" storyline, which resulted in a shift of power in the Marvel Universe toward Norman Osborn. The title refers to Osborn's rise to national power and the ramifications thereof. Joe Quesada, then-editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics, stated that "Dark Reign is not really an event, it's what's happening in the Marvel Universe." He believes that "Dark Reign leads to an interesting place in the Marvel Universe. I think you'll see a pulling back at the end of Dark Reign, but you'll understand at the end of it what we were trying to get to."

Marvel Now! is a comic book branding for the relaunch of several ongoing comic books published by Marvel Comics, that debuted in October 2012 with new #1 issues. The relaunch also included some new titles, including Uncanny Avengers and All-New X-Men. Described as a shifting of the Marvel Universe following the conclusion of the "Avengers vs. X-Men" storyline, Marvel Now! entailed changes to both the publishing format and the universe to attract new readers. Publishing changes included new creative teams for each of the titles and the in-universe changes included changes to character designs and new storylines. It marked the next stage of the Marvel ReEvolution initiative, which began in March 2012. The original run went through several waves before coming to an end in May 2015 at the start of the "Secret Wars" storyline. A second Marvel Now!, Marvel Now! 2.0, debuted in 2016 following the "Civil War II" storyline. Marvel Now! 2.0 was followed in 2017 by Marvel Legacy.
