Mikaela Marie Javier Quintos (born December 18, 1997), [1] also known as Mikee Quintos, is a Filipino actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Lira in Encantadia . [2] [3]

Life and career

Quintos was born in Manila, Philippines to December 18, 1997 to Eduardo "Wardee" Quintos XIV and Jocelyn Javier, both of whom are politicians and who would later serve as Manila councilors from the 4th district. She began singing publicly at the age of seven for her parents' political campaign. She has three sisters: Louisa Marie (incumbent Manila councilor), Denise and Jodee. [4] She is currently taking architecture at the University of Santo Tomas. [5] Quintos is discovered through YouTube. She bagged the role of Lira (originally played by Jennylyn Mercado), daughter of Amihan in the phenomenal fantaserye, Encantadia , and is considered her breakout role.

It served as a reboot and the fourth television series in the Encantadia franchise. Directed by Mark A. Reyes, it stars Glaiza de Castro, Kylie Padilla, Gabbi Garcia, and Sanya Lopez. It premiered on July 18, 2016, on the network's Telebabad line up replacing Poor Señorita. The series concluded on May 19, 2017, with a total of 218 episodes. It was replaced by Mulawin vs. Ravena in its timeslot.

Encantadia is a Filipino fantasy franchise produced and published by GMA Network. It consists of four television series that have run from 2005 to present and a single film. The second series title Etheria: Ang Ikalimang Kaharian ng Encantadia premiered in the same year and ended in 2006 with 50 episodes. Due to its significant success, the third series title Encantadia: Pag-ibig Hanggang Wakas premiered in 2006 consisting of 48 episodes. In 2016, 11 years after the original run, a reboot of the series premiered on the same network featuring a new cast.
