Milagros Alicia Moy Alvarado (born October 17, 1975), more commonly known as Milagros Moy, is a Peruvian former volleyball player who represented her native country at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, finishing in eleventh place in both tournaments. [1] She played as a wing spiker. [2]

Club volleyball

Moy played with the Peruvian club Cristal Bancoper and won a silver medal at the 1995 South American Club Championship in Medellin, Colombia. [3] [4]

Moy played for the German team Rote Raben Vilsbiburg for the 2008–09 season. [2]

For the 2009–10 season, Moy played with Valeriano Alles Menorca Volei in the Spanish Superliga Femenina de Voleibol. [5]

For the 2012–2013 season, Moy returned to play in the Peruvian League, signing with the Universidad César Vallejo club. [6] She won the league championship and was awarded Most Valuable Player. [7] She then played the South American Club Championship and her club lost to Brazilian Unilever, winning the silver medal and the Best Server individual award. [8]

Among the participants were the Peruvian champion Cristal Bancoper and the vice champions, Juventus Sipesa, Argentinians Racing Club, Universidad Católica from Chile and the host nation were represented by Orgullo Paisa. The Brazilian clubs refused to join the tournament because their tournament was still in play.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Primera División Femenina (Peru)</span> Football league

The Primera División Femenina officially named Liga Femenina, is the top tournament of women's association football in Peru, organized by the Peruvian Football Federation through its Women's Football Commission. The competition, as an official tournament, was created in 1996 under de name of "Campeonato Metropolitano de Fútbol Femenino", followed by the "Campeonato Nacional de Fútbol Femenino" which was renamed later as "Copa Femenina" and currently is designated as "Liga Femenina". The champion qualifies to the Copa Libertadores Femenina.

The 2022 Copa Bicentenario was a planned tournament with the participation of the 19 teams of the Liga 1, and 14 teams of the Liga 2. The champions would have been entitled to qualify for the 2023 Copa Sudamericana, as well as the Supercopa Peruana against the Liga 1 champions. Sporting Cristal were the defending champions.
