Miles Redd is an American interior designer based in New York City. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] He studied fashion design at the Parsons School of Design and film at New York University, and served as the creative director of Oscar de la Renta Home from 2003-13. [6] [7] [8] [9] Redd started his own interior design practice in 1998 after honing his skills with antiques dealer John Rosselli and decorator Bunny Williams. [10]
Redd is on Elle Decor's "A-List of Interior Designers," and is a member of Architectural Digest's "AD100," which names "the world’s preeminent architects and designers." [11] [12] His work can be found in decorating and design magazines such as Architectural Digest , House Beautiful , Veranda , and Vogue . [13] [14] [15] [16]
Produced in 2012 with luxury book publisher Assouline, The Big Book of Chic is Redd's first book. [17] Redd’s work has been published in other design tomes, including Inspired Design: The 100 Most Important Designers of the Past 100 Years by Jennifer Boles, Interiors: The Greatest Rooms of the Century by Phaidon Press, and Making Rooms Your Own by Editors of the New York Social Diary. Redd has appeared in video content including simultaneous house tours of his New York and Fire Island Pines residences for The New York Times T Magazine as well as videos by Architectural Digest and popular decorating blog Quintessence. [21] [22] [23]
The decorator ventured into product design with his fabric, wallcovering, and fabric collection for trade textile house Schumacher, as well as rugs for their sister company Patterson Flynn & Martin. [24] [25] In Fall 2017, Redd partnered with omnichannel retail company Ballard Designs on an extensive collection of furniture, accessories, lighting; and, introduced in 2018, outdoor furniture. [26]
In January 2019, Redd announced his new business partner, David Kaihoi, and renamed his once-eponymous firm Redd Kaihoi. [27] At their office, located in the Manhattan neighborhood of Chelsea, the firm works on residential design projects for an international collection of clients. [28]
Miles grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from The Lovett School in 1987. [29]
Sister Parish was an American interior decorator and socialite. She was the first practitioner brought in to decorate the Kennedy White House, a position soon entrusted to French interior decorator Stéphane Boudin. Despite Boudin's growing influence, Parish's influence can still be seen at the White House, particularly in the Yellow Oval Room.

Michael Taylor was an American designer best known for creating the "California Look" of interior design. One of Architectural Digest's "20 Greatest Designers of All Time” and "Interior Design Legends". Taylor was noted for his rooms of airiness and light with a prominent use of natural forms and the color white. In 1956, he founded his design company, Michael Taylor Interiors, Inc. Under Michael Taylor Designs, he manufactured his own designs and in 1985 partnered with Paul Weaver to develop and market interior and exterior furnishings to the wholesale design trade. Taylor worked continuously until his death in 1986.

Francis Sultana is a Maltese-born furniture and interior designer. He is regularly featured in the annual AD100 list compiled by Architectural Digest. The Times says he is "a furniture designer and decorating mastermind" and also mentions his famous clients. Financial TimesHow To Spend It magazine said "his baroque-meets-pop art style is making grand statements in an ever-widening circle of homes." Living Etc magazine describes Sultana's style as "luxurious, bespoke-driven and sumptuous". In 2018 Sultana was made Ambassador of Culture for Malta. He was named as one of the Top 20 interior designers by Wallpaper magazine and Top 100 Interior Designers by House & Garden magazine. The Financial Times said of his first hotel project La Palma Hotel, Capri for Oetker Collection that it is "a glamorous new start for Capri's oldest hotel ". In 2021 Sultana became custodian of The Hunting Lodge, the former home of British interior designers John Fowler and Nicky Haslam. ". As well as running his own atelier, Sultana is also CEO of David Gill Gallery ".
Ike Kligerman Barkley was an American architectural firm established in 1989, with offices in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area. The practice was led by partners and founders John Ike and Thomas A. Kligerman, and Joel Barkley, who joined as a partner in 1999. The firm designed buildings across the United States and elsewhere, and is most known for residences characterized by an eclectic approach to historical precedent, style, materials and client tastes than for a single aesthetic. Architect, educator and architectural historian Robert A. M. Stern described the partners as "modern traditionalists" whose work was "wonderfully consistent in quality and also wonderfully inconsistent in style."
