Milind Rege (born 16 February 1949) is a former Indian first-class cricketer who played for Bombay cricket team from 1967/68 to 1977/78. He is the chairman of selectors with the Mumbai Cricket Association. [1] [2] He also works as the head of Corporate Communications,Administration and Personnel functions of Tata Steel at its Mumbai head office. [3]
He graduated from St. Xavier's College. [4]
Rege played as a bowling all-rounder who batted right-handed and bowled right-arm off break. He represented Bombay in domestic cricket and appeared in 52 first-class matches between 1967/68. He also captained Bombay in a few matches and played for West Zone cricket team.
Rege continued to be associated with Mumbai cricket after retirement. He worked for various subcommittees of the Mumbai Cricket Association for over 20 years. Having worked as a Mumbai selector since the 1980s,he was appointed chairman of selectors in 2011. He resigned from the post in 2012 but continued to be a member of the four-man panel. [5] [6] He was reinstated at the position of chairman in 2015. [7]
He has been the secretary of the Tata Sports Club for more than two decades and the president of Association of Cricket Umpires of Mumbai and Member Secretary of the Cricket Improvement Committee. He is also the West Zone representative of the Media Committee for the Board of Control for Cricket in India. [3]
Rege has been working for Tata Steel as the head of corporate communications for more than a decade at its Mumbai head office. He was previously the senior divisional manager at the company. [8]

The Brabourne Stadium is an international cricket stadium in Mumbai in Western India,built in the British Bombay era. It is the home ground of the Mumbai men's and women's cricket teams. It can accommodate 20,000 people for sports matches. The ground is owned by the Cricket Club of India (CCI). Salil Ashok Ankola is a former international cricketer who played one Test match and 20 One Day Internationals (ODIs) from 1989 to 1997 for India. A right-arm fast-medium bowler,he played first-class cricket for Mumbai,regularly opening the bowling. Ankola's consistency for Mumbai team earned him a spot for representing India during their tour of Pakistan in 1989–90. After the first Test match at Karachi,he was dropped for the subsequent matches in the series owing to injuries. After a brief phase of playing first-class cricket,Ankola was called for the Indian ODI team during 1993,eventually led to being a part of the 1996 Cricket World Cup. His reputation as a poor fielder,resulted in being dropped from the side after subsequent series. At 28,Ankola retired from international cricket to pursue acting. Since then he went on to appear in a number of Indian soap operas and a few Bollywood movies. In 2020,he was selected as the chief selector of the Mumbai Cricket Association.
