Frank Milo McBryde is an American politician and optician who served as the Mayor of Fayetteville,North Carolina from 2000 until 2001. McBryde became Mayor following the death of his predecessor,seven-term Mayor J.L. Dawkins,who died in office on May 30,2000. [1] [2]
McBryde is the third generation of his family to be involved in Fayetteville city government. [2] His father,Frank McBryde (1912-1990),was a community leader who served as an alderman from 1945 to 1949. [3] McBryde graduated from Methodist University in 1968. [4]

Frank Ramsay McNinch was born in Charlotte,North Carolina. He was a political figure who served as the mayor of Charlotte,as chairman of the Federal Power Commission,and as chairman of the Federal Communications Commission. In the 1928 presidential election,McNinch,a Democrat,supported Republican Herbert Hoover for president. After he was elected,Hoover appointed McNinch to a seat on the Federal Power Commission,leading to a split in the North Carolina Democratic Party that damaged the political fortunes of new U.S. Sen. Felton Jeffrey Capel II was an American National Basketball Association assistant coach,and,prior to that,a college basketball head coach. He was head coach of the Old Dominion Monarchs team from 1994 to 2001,of the North Carolina A&T Aggies from 1993 to 1994 and of the Fayetteville State Broncos from 1989 to 1993. He was the father of Pittsburgh Panthers head coach Jeff Capel III and former Appalachian State Mountaineers head coach Jason Capel. He was also an assistant coach with the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats. Cape Fear and Yadkin Valley Railway Passenger Depot is a historic train station located at 325 Franklin Street in Fayetteville,North Carolina. It was built in 1890 by the Cape Fear and Yadkin Valley Railway. It is a two-story brick passenger depot with a deep hip roof in the Romanesque Revival style. The seven bay by two bay building features a rounded brick arch arcade. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

John Sinclair Leary was an American lawyer,politician,federal official,and law school dean. He was of mixed ethnicity. He is described as one of the first black lawyers in North Carolina and was a member of the state legislature from 1868 to 1870.
