Mimicry Dayanand is an Indian impressionist, stand-up comedian, actor and television presenter from the Karnataka state of India. [1] [2] He is renowned for his impression of politicians and film actors of Karnataka. [3] [4]

Dayanand has featured in many comedy albums and has presented a television show, Kachaguli that aired on ETV Kannada. In 2008, Dayanand, along with Sihi Kahi Chandru, judged a television show called Haasyada arasa, to unearth comic talents that was aired on Kasturi. He also appeared on the comedy chat show Maja With Sruja on the Colors Kannada Kannada channel, imitating Brahmanda Narendra Babu Sharma, a well-known astrologer.

He was the youngest son of actor and matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar. He was one of the most popular actors in Kannada cinema. He appeared as a lead in 32 films. As a child, he appeared in many films. His performances as a child actor in Vasantha Geetha (1980), Bhagyavantha (1981), Chalisuva Modagalu (1982), Eradu Nakshatragalu (1983), Bhakta Prahaladha (1983), Yarivanu (1984) and Bettada Hoovu (1985) were praised. Puneeth's first lead role was in 2002's Appu. In a career spanning three decades, he has won one National Film Award, four Karnataka State Film Awards, six Filmfare Awards South and five SIIMA awards. He was conferred with the Doctorate by Mysuru University. The Karnataka Government conferred the state's highest civilian award, Karnataka Ratna, to Puneeth Rajkumar on 1 November 2022, posthumously.

Sri Manjunatha is a 2001 Indian Kannada-language hagiographical film directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. The film stars Chiranjeevi, Arjun Sarja, Ambareesh, Meena, Soundarya and Sumalatha. The film is based on the life of the Shiva devotee, Bhakta Manjunatha of the Kotilingeshwara Temple. The film was partially reshot in Telugu under the same title with Chiranjeevi's scenes reshot in Telugu and Brahmanandam and Tanikella Bharani replacing Dwarakish and Mimicry Dayanand, respectively whilst all other scenes were dubbed from the Kannada original.

Bigg Boss Kannada (BBK) is the Kannada version of the reality TV show Bigg Boss which is broadcast in India through Colors Kannada Channel. The show is produced by Endemol Shine India, who owns the global format of Big Brother. Majaa Talkies is an Indian sketch comedy show that premiered on ETV Kannada on 7 February 2015. The episodes focus on comical scripts and usually feature celebrity guests who are invited on the show to promote their latest films in the comedy-focused talk show format. The show became Karnataka's highest rated scripted TV show in June 2015. As of September 2015, the show achieved maximum TRP and clinched the number one spot in Kannada television.

Arun Sagar is an Indian actor, art director and comedian who mainly works in the Kannada film industry. He has been recognized as a leading art director throughout his career starting from his first movie, Bhoomi Geetha which won the national award for best environmental film. He has worked with veteran directors like Poori Jagannath, Meher Ramesh, Veerashankar and K Raghavendra Rao. He has received Karnataka state award for best art direction for his contributions in the movie Sri Manjunatha. He ran a show on Kasturi TV called 'Tarrle' that resembled a popular show M.A.D. from Pogo TV that taught children about art, painting and crafting. He became popular during the telecast of Maja with Sruja that aired on Asianet Suvarna where he played various comical roles that parodied celebrities and politicians. The show was a huge hit for its satire-comedy structure. Arun Sagar was later hired as the first contestant of Bigg Boss Kannada Season 1, where he emerged as the runner-up for the season. He later reprised the comedy genre with a new show, Comedy Circle that was aired on ETV Kannada. The show was successful, however for unknown reasons, he opted out of the show after few episodes. He also hosted a one-man-show on the same genre known as Koyyam Kotra on TV9 (Kannada).
