Mind Games was a one-off British crime drama broadcast on ITV on 6 January 2001, starring Fiona Shaw as the protagonist, Frances O'Neill, a former nun turned criminal profiler who is called in to investigate the horrific ritualistic murders of two middle-aged women. Written by Lynda La Plante and directed by Richard Standeven, the film gathered 6.91m viewers. [1]
The DVD of the film was released on 23 July 2007. [2] In the United States, the film aired on PBS during the Lynda La Plante season, which also included broadcasts of Prime Suspect , Trial & Retribution and Supply & Demand .

In 2020, she was listed at No. 29 on The Irish Times list of Ireland's greatest film actors. She was made an Honorary Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) by Queen Elizabeth II in 2001.

Colin Pitchfork is an English child-murderer and child-rapist. The series follows the work of ESUS, a crack team of detectives tasked with investigating some of the country's biggest criminal importers and smugglers. The pilot was written in 1996, the year that La Plante's most notable television series, Prime Suspect, went on hiatus. Adé Sapara, Eamonn Walker, Benedict Wong, Juliet Aubrey and Ramon Tikaram were credited as principal cast members for the pilot.

Adapted from La Plante's novel of the same name, the series stars Tim Guinee as Johnny Lazar, a down-and-out American comedian who tries to regain his status as an international superstar by embarking on a tour of working men's clubs and universities in England. But on his first night, Johnny is witness to a gangland murder and finds himself having to go on the run as he becomes the target of hit men who want to eliminate any chance of them being identified.
