Honour killings in Pakistan are known locally as karo-kari. According to the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, over 470 cases of honour killings were reported in Pakistan in 2021. But human rights defenders estimate that around 1,000 women are murdered in the name of honour every year. An honour killing is the murder of a member of a family or social group by other members, due to the belief the victim has brought dishonour upon the family or community. The death of the victim is viewed as a way to restore the reputation and honour of the family.

Saving Face is a 2012 documentary film directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Daniel Junge about acid attacks on women in Pakistan. The film won an Emmy Award and the 2012 Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Subject, making its director, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Pakistan's first Oscar winner. Amna Ilyas is a Pakistani film and television actress, and model. She is the younger sister of models Salma Ilyas and Uzma Ilyas. 3 Bahadur is a 2015 Pakistani animated adventure film produced and directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. It is the first installment in the 3 Bahadur franchise. The film is co-produced by Waadi Animations which is a joint-venture of SOC films and ARY Films. 3 Bahadur became Pakistan's first computer-animated feature-length film. Film's plot focuses on three eleven-year-old friends, Amna, Saadi and Kamil, three extraordinary children who rise from the unlikeliest of places to save their community from the evils that plague it. The film is set in a fictional town called Roshan Basti. Equipped with courage and super powers, they battle against the odds and stand up to injustice to restore peace and harmony in their once thriving community and live a very happy life.
A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness is a 2015 documentary film directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy about honor killings in Pakistan. The film is produced by Tina Brown and Sheila Nevins in collaboration with HBO Documentary Films. A Girl in the River was edited by Geof Bartz, A.C.E. The documentary earned widespread critical acclaim. A Girl in the River was shortlisted with ten other documentaries from 74 entries submitted to 88th Academy Awards in Documentary Short Subject category, which it won.

Sana Javed is a Pakistani actress who appears on Urdu television. She made her debut in 2012 with Shehr-e-Zaat and later on appeared in several serials. Javed gained praise for her social-based dramas Ruswai and Dunk and the former earned her the PISA Award for Best Actress Critics.
Pakistan competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was Pakistan's eighteenth appearance at the Summer Olympics.

The Pakistan women's national shooting team represents Pakistan in international shooting competitions. It is administered by the National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP). Pehchaan (transl. Identity) is a 2022 Pakistani television series produced by Momina Duraid for Hum TV, written by Rubina Kabir Khan and directed by Asad Jabal. It focuses on women's role in building and maintaining a relation and the identity crisis they may come to face. It originally aired from 9 June 2022 to 2 September 2022.
