Mirihi is a small island in the Alif Dhaal Atoll. It measures approximately 300m by 50m.
Since 1989 hosts a "tourist island" and it was the first island in the Maldives with overwater bungalows. [1]
The holiday resort consists of 38 guest bungalows consisting of 6 beach villas, 28 overwater villas and 2 overwater suites. [2]
Mirihi's house reef is worthy of note as it is in excellent condition and accessible directly from the resort's beach.
Since 1994 [3] the dive center on the island is operated by Ocean-Pro Mirihi. They are a 5-star PADI dive center.
The Madivaru "Manta Reef" is close by and is a location where a lot of manta rays can be found year-round.
In September 2000 a small trawler called the "Madi-ge", which can be translated as "House of Rays", was sunk to 22 meters close to the house reef allowing wreck divers to explore it. The "Madi-ge" lies bow down in the sand and attracts Batfish, Glassfish and Jacks.
Manta rays are large rays belonging to the genus Mobula. The larger species, M. birostris, reaches 7 m (23 ft) in width, while the smaller, M. alfredi, reaches 5.5 m (18 ft). Both have triangular pectoral fins, horn-shaped cephalic fins and large, forward-facing mouths. They are classified among the Myliobatiformes and are placed in the family Myliobatidae. They have the largest brains and brain to body ratio of all fish, and can pass the mirror test.

The giant oceanic manta ray, giant manta ray, or oceanic manta ray is a species of ray in the family Mobulidae, and the largest type of ray in the world. It is circumglobal and is typically found in tropical and subtropical waters, but can also be found in temperate waters. Until 2017, the species was classified in the genus Manta, along with the smaller reef manta ray. DNA testing revealed that both species are more closely related to rays of the genus Mobula than previously thought. As a result, the giant manta was renamed as Mobula birostris to reflect the new classification.

Koh Rong Sanloem is an island off the coast of Sihanoukville, Cambodia, 4 km (2 mi) south of Koh Rong island. It is around 9 km (6 mi) long, 4 km (2 mi) wide and 1 km (1 mi) wide at its narrowest point. Its distance from the local port of Sihanoukville is 25 km (16 mi) (beeline) and 23 km (14 mi) (beeline) from the Serendipity/Ochheuteal beach pier. The word "Sanloem" translates to: 1. drowsiness and to: 2. far out and hard to discern, in a wider sense. Inconsistencies on how to spell the island's name in its Latinized version date back to the 19th century. The first controversial spelling variants were issued by map makers during French rule. Alternatives have since become widespread and are in common usage. Often confusion ensues as Google Maps offers the phonetically most consistent variant, whereas Google Search redirects to an alternative.
