Miss Lebanon 2024 was the 62nd edition of the Miss Lebanon pageant, held on July 27, 2024, at the Seaside Arena, Beirut, Lebanon. [1] Nada Koussa of Rahbeh was crowned by Yasmina Zaytoun of Kfarchouba at the end of the event. [2]

Contents

Koussa will represent Lebanon at Miss Universe 2024 [3] and will also compete at Miss World 2025. [4]

Background

On June 25, 2024, Miss Lebanon broadcaster LBCI confirmed that the pageant would be held on July 27. [5] The announcement came after a one-year hiatus, in which LBCI was forced to cancel the 2023 competition due to the lack of sponsors. [6] It was revealed that Lebanese singer Elissa would be performing during the event. [7] [8]

International Lebanese jeweler Mouawad was the crown sponsor for this pageant, and provided the Cedar of Hope crown. [9]

As is customary, a Lebanese fashion designer Tony Ward was chosen to provide evening gowns to the contestants. [10]

For the first time, the jury was entirely made up of women. This was an effort to promote female empowerment. [11]

Selection of participants

In March 2024 LBCI released a video on Instagram encouraging Lebanese women to attend the Miss Lebanon 2024 contestant casting. Those living in the abroad were also encouraged to enter the competition. [12]

Lamitta Frangieh is a Lebanese actress, model and beauty pageant titleholder who placed 1st Runner-up at Miss Lebanon 2004 and represented her country at Miss World 2005 but Unplaced.

Saly Greige is a Lebanese engineer, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Lebanon 2014. She represented Lebanon at Miss World 2014 and Miss Universe 2014.

Miss Iraq in America was an annual beauty pageant, first held in 2013. The competition was supervised by Yalla Fan, an artistic production company founded by Iraqi Assyrian Joe Rasho. Miss Lebanon 2022, was the 61st edition of the Miss Lebanon pageant, held on July 24, 2022, at Forum de Beyrouth in Beirut, Maya Reaidy crowned her successor Yasmina Zaytoun at the end of the event. Maya Aboul Hosn, who finished as first runner-up, was appointed Miss Universe Lebanon 2023 the following year.

Yasmina Ismail Zaytoun is a Lebanese beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Lebanon 2022. She represented Lebanon at Miss Universe 2022 and Miss World 2023. She is the runner-up of Miss World 2023.

Miss Grand Egypt is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Egyptian representatives competing at the Miss Grand International contest. The title was first awarded in 2013 when a Cairo-based pharmacist, Aya Abdallah Ahmed, was assigned by the Miss Grand Egypt licensee, Amal Rezk, to represent Egypt in the inaugural edition of Miss Grand International in Thailand. Ojeil later became the licensee of Miss Grand Lebanon the following year.

Nada Koussa is a Lebanese beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Lebanon 2024.
