History

Founded in 1970 by members of the board of the Corozal's Country Club, the "Interclubes Reign", with the purpose of integrating the different social clubs of the Colombian Caribbean. [6] [7]

The last edition of this event was held in 2013, when Mayra Vitoviz, Miss Maja Colombia 2012, resigns to her title because of her disappointment on everything the prize promised, but failed to accomplish.

In the evening of election and coronation, Carmen Lucia Aldana Roldán from Valle delivered the crown and the royal jewels to the winner Paulina Vega Dieppa from Atlántico. She represented Colombia at Miss Universe 2014 and ended up winning the title on January 25th, 2015 in Miami, USA.

The National Beauty Contest in Colombia on its 80th edition took place on November 17, 2014 in the city of Cartagena de Indias. In the evening of election and coronation, Paulina Vega Dieppa from Atlántico delivered the crown to Ariadna Gutiérrez from Sucre as well as the rest of the royal jewels. Ariadna Gutiérrez represented Colombia at Miss Universe 2015, and placed 1st Runner-Up.

The National Beauty Contest in Colombia was the 66th edition, The event was held on November 12, 2018 in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. Laura González from Cartagena, D.T. and C. crowned her successor Valle - Gabriela Tafur at the end of the event. The winner will go on to represent Colombia at Miss Universe 2019.
