Miss World Malaysia 2013, the 47th edition of the Miss World Malaysia pageant, was held at the Corus Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on August 1, 2014. Yvonne Lee of Selangor crowned her successor, Melinder Bhullar from Kuala Lumpur at the end of the event.[ citation needed ]

Contents

Fifteen contestants from different states competed for the crown. Melinder then represented Malaysia at the Miss World 2013 held in Bali, Indonesia where she placed as fourth runner-up for Multimedia Award.

Disqualified

Four Muslim contestants were disqualified from the pageant due to the fatwa which prohibit Muslim women from competing in beauty pageants. [4] [5]

Tatiana represented Malaysia at Miss World 2016.

Miss World Malaysia 2015, the 49th edition of the Miss World Malaysia pageant, was held at the Corus Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on August 29, 2015. Dewi Liana Seriestha of Sarawak crowned her successor, Brynn Zalina Lovett from Sabah at the end of the event. The main sponsors for the event was Metrojaya and Corus Hotel while the exclusive sponsor was Wacoal Malaysia.

During 2015 to 2021, the contest was run by Introducing Talent Sdn Bhd, under the leadership of Jude Benjamin Lisa. Since 2022, the franchise has belonged to the Singapore-based start-up HyperLive Entertainment.

Miss Universe Malaysia 2022 was the 55th edition of the Miss Universe Malaysia pageant which was held on 7 October 2022 at M Resort and Hotel, Damansara, Kuala Lumpur. Miss Universe Malaysia 2020, Francisca Luhong James crowned Cheam Wei Yeng at the end of the event. She represented Malaysia in Miss Universe 2022.
