Mister Maker is a British children's television series produced by RDF Media (Series 1)/The Foundation (Series 2-3) for CBeebies. [1] The series aired from 17 September 2007 until 25 December 2009.
The series was presented by Phil Gallagher in the title role. The series was followed by four spin-offs: Mister Maker Comes to Town , Mister Maker Around the World , Mister Maker's Arty Party (also on BBC iPlayer for over a year) and Mister Maker at Home, which began airing in 2010, 2013, 2015 and 2020, respectively.
Mister Maker, created and portrayed by Phil Gallagher, presents the show (he also created the series). Each episode features seven different sequences:
Each episode ends with Tocky telling Mister Maker to go and then shows him "putting away all this stuff back in its box" (meaning the studio's objects are to be put away). At the end of each episode, Mister Maker says "Time to put away all of the stuff back in the box!", followed by the end credits.
Mister Maker was commissioned by Michael Carrington at the BBC for CBeebies. [2] The series launched in 2007 [3] and also aired on BBC One and BBC Two, It still currently airs on CBeebies, usually during weekdays. In the United States the series currently broadcasts on PBS Kids in all regions. In Latin America the series was broadcast on the Discovery Kids and Discovery Familia networks, dubbed in Spanish and in Portuguese in Brazil. [4] In Canada, the series aired on Treehouse TV from 2008 to 2012 and TVOKids from 2013 to 2021. The Foundation (part of RDF Media) commissioned the series for three seasons. [3] [5] It also airs in Australia on ABC2. The series comprises a mixture of animation, CGI and live-action.

Seveal spin-offs of the series have been created. They all follow the same format.
A YouTube spin-off titled Mister Maker's Mumfie Makes premiered on the show's official YouTube channel in April 2023. This spin-off was created as a tie-in with Zodiak Kids' reboot of Mumfie . [7]
Teletubbies is a British children's television series created by Anne Wood and Andrew Davenport for the BBC. The programme focuses on four differently coloured characters known as the Teletubbies, named after the television screens on their bellies. Mister Rogers' Neighborhood is an American half-hour educational children's television series that ran from 1968 to 2001. It was created and hosted by Fred Rogers. Its original incarnation, the series Misterogers debuted in Canada on October 15, 1962, on CBC Television. In 1966, Rogers moved back to the United States creating Misterogers' Neighborhood, later called Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, on the regional Eastern Educational Television Network. The US national debut of the show occurred on February 19, 1968. It aired on NET and its successor, PBS, until August 31, 2001.
Bob the Builder is a British animated children's television series created by Keith Chapman for HIT Entertainment and Hot Animation. The series follows the adventures of Bob, a general contractor, specialising in masonry, along with his colleague Wendy, various neighbours, and friends, and equipment, and their gang of anthropomorphised work-vehicles, Scoop, Muck, Dizzy, Roley, Lofty and many others. The series ran from 12 April 1999 to 31 December 2011 in the United Kingdom through the CBBC strand and later CBeebies. The series originally used stop-motion from 1999 to 2009, but later used CGI animation starting with the spin-off series Ready, Steady, Build! (2010-2011). The British proprietors of Bob the Builder and Thomas & Friends sold the enterprise in 2011 to US toy-maker Mattel for $680 million.
Magic Adventures of Mumfie is a British animated children's television series and movie, inspired by the Mumfie books written and illustrated by Katharine Tozer (1907-1943). The initial 1994 season of the series, spanning one continuous storyline, has a music score containing more than 20 songs. The series was created by Britt Allcroft, produced by The Britt Allcroft Company and Quality Family Entertainment, narrated by American actor Patrick Breen and directed by John Laurence Collins. Mumfie was first seen in the United States on the Fox Kids Network from 1995 to 1996, as part of The Fox Cubhouse. The second and third seasons debuted on the Fox Family Channel. 79 episodes were produced. The worldwide rights have reverted back to Britt Allcroft.
The Story Makers is an educational children's television programme that was broadcast on the BBC's pre-school digital television network, CBeebies as well as being one of the launch programmes for the channel. The Story Makers is set in a children's library, and encourages literacy and creativity.
SMart was a British CBBC television programme based on art, which began in 1994 and ended in 2009. The programme was recorded at BBC Television Centre in London. Previously it had been recorded in Studio A at Pebble Mill Studios in Birmingham. The format is similar to the Tony Hart programmes Take Hart and Hartbeat. The show was revamped into an hour-long show in 2007; from 1994 to 2006 it was previously a 25-minute show. From 1994 to 2005, the show also featured Morph, originally from Take Hart. The series run featured 199 episodes, last airing on 11 August 2011.

In the Night Garden... is a popular British preschool children's television series created, written and composed by Teletubbies co-creator Andrew Davenport for CBeebies and BBC Two and produced by Ragdoll Worldwide, a joint venture of Ragdoll Productions and BBC Worldwide. The show was aimed at children aged from one to six years old. The programme is narrated by Derek Jacobi. It is filmed in live action and features a mix of actors in costume, stop motion, puppetry and CGI animation. It started broadcasting in the United Kingdom on 6 April 2009. It is a spin-off of Shaun the Sheep, itself a spin-off of the Wallace and Gromit film A Close Shave (1995).

Octonauts: Above & Beyond is an animated children's television series that is the successor and spin-off of Octonauts. Produced by Mainframe Studios and Silvergate Media for Netflix, the spin-off series premiered on 7 September 2021. The series follows a similar structure to the original Octonauts series, but is primarily focused on terrestrial creatures and habitats. In addition, to cover this global range of missions, more characters join the crew as main characters in the series.
