Mister Puerto Rico is the common name or sash used to identify a Puerto Rican representative in an international male beauty pageant. Several organizations have held annual male pageants in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Currently, Mister Puerto Rico Model and Mister Puerto Rico Teenager are the most important male beauty pageant events. Each year both events are held to select the representatives from the island. [1]
Misters of Puerto Rico is considered the largest, most important and prestigious event of fashion and male beauty in Puerto Rico. Throughout its history, this event has consolidated as a solid local and international prestige. The aim of Mister Puerto Rico is to present a series of exhibitions and developmental workshops for the Puerto Rican male. The Misters of Puerto Rico organization aims to develop personal and professional growth of the modern man. [2] In 2016, the two largest male pageant organizations in Puerto Rico were merged when Mister Puerto Rico International, led by Miguel Deliz, was incorporated into Mister International Puerto Rico, led by Rubén Díaz.
While there are multiple local pageant agencies, Nuestra Belleza Puerto Rico, (Our Beauty Puerto Rico), is the one in charge of sending representatives to the international competitions. [3]
Misters of Puerto Rico candidates, live an enriching and learning experience, focusing on charitable causes and events of great significance in Puerto Rico. All activities promote the growth of the candidate to the "Final Competition":

The University of Puerto Rico, often shortened to UPR, is the main public university system in the U.S. Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority Is an electric power company owned by the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico responsible for electricity generation, power distribution, and power transmission on the island. PREPA was the only entity authorized to conduct such business in Puerto Rico, making it a government monopoly, until on January 22, 2018, former governor of Puerto Rico, Ricardo Rossello, announced that all assets of the company will be sold in a general privatization of PREPA.
Ricardo Antonio Rosselló Nevares is a former governor of Puerto Rico who served from 2017 until his resignation in 2019 after overwhelming protests related to the Telegramgate scandal. He is the son of former governor of Puerto Rico and pediatric surgeon Pedro Rosselló.
Manuel Natal Albelo is a former member of the 29th House of Representatives of Puerto Rico. Natal is currently affiliated with the Citizen's Victory Movement party after being previously affiliated with the Popular Democratic Party and a legal advisor for Charlie Hernández, another member of the House, before becoming a legislator. He was a member of the free association movement, colloquially known as soberanistas. Elected at the age of 27, Natal is one of the youngest legislators in the history of Puerto Rico and was the youngest legislator to serve at the time of his election. He was the Movimiento Victoria Ciudadana party's nominee in the 2020 San Juan mayoral election, which he lost to senator Miguel Romero of the New Progressive Party.

Mister World 2019 was the tenth edition of the Mister World competition. It was held on 23 August 2019 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Rohit Khandelwal of India crowned Jack Heslewood of England as his successor at the end of the event.
Sonido Tré is a latin music trio comprising vocalists Mayda Belén Rivera and Edgar Ríos, and Quique Domenech on Cuatro. All three members were born in Puerto Rico. Domenech studied the cuatro from the age of six. At 11 he entered a five-year program at the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture studying the cuatro and music theory. He has been nominated twice for a Latin Grammy. Rivera was a semifinalist on Latin American Idol. The newest member of Sonido Tré is Edgar Ríos. Ríos was a member of the a cappella group Nota, winners of the NBC show The Sing-Off.
Miss Supranational is an annual international beauty pageant, started in 2009, and with most contests held in Poland. A parallel male contest, Mister Supranational, was launched in 2016, also in Poland.
Miss Grand Puerto Rico is a national title bestowed upon a woman chosen to represent Puerto Rico at Miss Grand International, an annual international beauty pageant promoting peace and opposing all forms of conflict. The national pageant of Miss Grand International for Puerto Rico is currently conducted by Nuestra Belleza Puerto Rico, Inc., to which MGI PLC, the owner of Miss Grand International, awarded the franchise in 2016. One of the winners of the "Nuestra Belleza Puerto Rico" pageant gets the title of Miss Grand Puerto Rico.
