Misty Love is an American rock and rhythm and blues singer.
Misty sang in the movie Standing in the Shadows of Motown , and her vocals can also be heard in the soundtracks of the movies Coyote Ugly , Shanghai Noon , and Ready To Rumble . [1]
In 2009, Love helped to create the Detroit Black Music Awards, which are held annually on the first Sunday of August, at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. [2]
In association with the Motown Alumni Association, Misty Love has helped to produce several tribute shows including "A Tribute to Mary Wells", "A Tribute to Kim Weston", and "Tribute to the Motown Divas". [3] [ non-primary source needed ]
To celebrate John Lee Hooker's 100th birthday anniversary in 2017, Misty Love joined drummer Muruga Booker, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee guitarist J.C. "Billy" Davis, P-Funk guitarist Tony "Strat" Thomas, and bassist John Sauter to form the Booker Blues All-Stars, and released the album, Booker Plays Hooker. [4]
