Model Engineering College or MEC is an engineering college established by the IHRD, located in Thrikkakara, Kochi, Kerala, India. It is affiliated with Cochin University of Science and Technology and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.
The Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD) was established by the Government of Kerala (India) in 1987, with the institutional centre at Thiruvananthapuram and Model polytechnics in 1988 at Vatakara.
