Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), formerly the University of Pune, is a public state university located in the city of Pune, India. It was established in 1949, and is spread over a 411 acres (1.66 km2) campus in the neighbourhood of Ganeshkhind. The university houses 46 academic departments. Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT) is an autonomous institute in Pune, Maharashtra, India. Established in 1983, the institute is affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University and run by the Bansilal Ramnath Agarwal Charitable Trust. The institution is ISO 9001-2015 certified by BSI, India, and was accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore from November 2018 until 2023.
Vidyasagar University was established by an Act of the West Bengal legislature which was notified in the Calcutta Gazette on 24 June 1981. It is an affiliating university in Paschim Medinipur district of southern West Bengal, India. It offers courses at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels.

The Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff of the institute is a blend of senior experienced and young dynamic faculty members devoted to the noble cause of education. Many of our students were the toppers in the university examinations and are in great demand from Multinational Companies in India and Abroad. Our training and placement wing tries hard to seek good jobs for our students. In addition to academics, the students are engaged in sports and cultural activities to provide a healthy relief from a rigorous routine. The institute has spacious grounds and the modern facilities for both indoor and outdoor games and an ultra-modern Gymnasium for bodybuilding and fitness. MES Garware College of Commerce was established in 1967 as an independent commerce college, Pune. The college was renamed as “M.E.S. Garware College of Commerce” in 1971. The trust "Marathwada Mitra Mandal, Pune" was established in 1967 by Hon. Late Shri. Shankarraoji Chavan, Former Home Minister, Govt. of India as the "Founder President". The trust had started its activity with the objective of providing hostel or similar accommodation in Pune to the students. This trust is established through the inspiration of socially and educationally charged personalities, with motto "Yethe Bahutanche Hit". Mass education, co-education and dedication towards overall development of the region are the watchwords of the trust. At present the trust has four educational campuses at Deccan, Karvenagar, Lohagaon and Kalewadi.
Vivekananda College is a state government-aided public college, affiliated to the University of Calcutta, located in southwest Kolkata, close to the Thakurpukur metro station. The college offers both post-graduate and under-graduate courses in a number of subjects of science, arts and commerce. Founded in 1950 as Barisha College, it was established under the dispersal scheme of the state government to reduce the pressure of students from the then East Pakistan, now Bangladesh.
