Modern Poland Foundation [1] (Polish : Fundacja Nowoczesna Polska) is a Polish non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Warsaw, focused on building open educational resources, developing free digitalization technologies and influencing public policies in the field of digital rights.

Its main activists include Jarosław Lipszyc.

In 2008 it helped to establish the Koalicja Otwartej Edukacji.

très.b was an international indie rock band consisting of a Polish singer Misia Furtak, half Danish/half English drummer Thomas Pettit and a half Dutch/half American guitarist Olivier Heim, also known under his solo artist name Anthony Chorale. The band started at a Danish Hojskole, to later move to the Netherlands and Poland.

Kabaret Olgi Lipińskiej is a long series of TV shows directed by Warsaw theatre director and satirical artist Olga Lipińska. The cabaret was inaugurated in 1974 and subsequently closed in 1984 under the military rule in Communist Poland. It was re-established soon after the collapse of the Soviet empire in 1990, and broadcast until 2005 five to six times a year, for about half an hour. It was taken off the air again, this time for five years due to criticism in the press, and brought back in June 2010 by the TV station TVP2.

2013–14 PLK season

The 2013–14 Polish Basketball League – for sponsorship reasons the Tauron Basket Liga – was the 80th season of the highest professional basketball league in Poland and the 18th since the foundation of the Polish Basketball League. PGE Turów Zgorzelec won the Polish national title for the first time in franchise history.

The PLK Best Polish Player award is an annual award in the Polish PLK that is given to the best player with a Polish nationality. Players, coaches and press members vote for the winner of the award.

Ryszard Petru

Ryszard Jerzy Petru (born 6 July 1972; Wrocław, Poland) is a Polish politician. He served as an assistant to several members of parliament in the 1990s. He has worked as an economist for the World Bank, PricewaterhouseCoopers and several Polish banks. Since 2011, he has been the chairman of the Association of Polish Economists. He is the author of several books, including two children's books on economics.
