Mohamed Abdoulkader Mohamed (born 1951 [1] ) is a Djiboutian politician. He is a member of the National Assembly and a member of the Pan-African Parliament from Djibouti.

Mohamed was born at Katoumbati in Dikhil Region. A member of the Political Bureau of the Front for the Restoration of Unity and Democracy (FRUD), he was first elected to the National Assembly in the December 1997 parliamentary election; [1] he was the 10th candidate on the joint candidate list of the People's Rally for Progress (RPP) and FRUD in Dikhil Region. [2] He was re-elected in the January 2003 parliamentary election [1] as the 11th candidate on the candidate list of the Union for a Presidential Majority (UMP) coalition in Dikhil Region. [3]

Following the 2003 election, Mohamed was elected as President of the FRUD Parliamentary Group and Vice-President of the Legislation and General Administration Commission in the National Assembly on 26 January 2003. [4] On 10 March 2004, Mohamed was chosen by the National Assembly as one of Djibouti's initial five members of the Pan-African Parliament. [5] [6]

Mohamed was re-elected to the National Assembly in the February 2008 parliamentary election as the fourth candidate on the UMP's candidate list for Dikhil Region. [7]

Ahmed Dini Ahmed

Ahmed Dini Ahmed was a Djiboutian politician. He was trained as a health technician and entered the political realm at age 26. He served as Vice-president of the Representative Council of French Somaliland from April 1959 to June 1960, he was a member of the government of Ali Aref Bourhan in 1962–1964, he then participated in the foundation of the Afar Democratic Union (UDA). He is Minister of Home Affairs until 1971. In 1975, he became spokesman for the new African People's League for Independence (LPAI), led by Hassan Gouled Aptidon and was later Prime Minister of Djibouti from 1977 to 1978. In July 1977, he became Prime Minister of the new Republic of Djibouti. In December, after the bombing of the Palm in Zinc, and the consequent ban on the Movement for the Liberation (MPL), he resigned and returned to the opposition. He led the Front for the Restoration of Unity and Democracy (FRUD), an Afar rebel group, during the civil war of the 1990s; after the group split in 1994, he led a radical faction of FRUD.

Idriss Arnaoud Ali was a Djiboutian politician who was President of the National Assembly of Djibouti from 2003 to 2015. He was also the Secretary-General of the People's Rally for Progress (RPP) from 2003 to 2012.

2008 Djiboutian parliamentary election

Parliamentary elections were held in Djibouti on 8 February 2008. There were 65 candidates running for the 65 seats in the National Assembly, with all of the candidates coming from the ruling coalition, the Union for the Presidential Majority (UMP). The opposition boycotted the election, and the UMP won all 65 seats.

Moumin Bahdon Farah was a Djiboutian politician and the President of the Social Democratic People's Party (PPSD). He was Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1978 to 1993 and Minister of Justice from 1993 to 1996. Concurrently, he was a member of the National Assembly of Djibouti.
