Mohamed Attia

Mohamed Attia (born September 19, 1973) is an Egyptian production designer and art director who is best known for his collaborations with Marwan Hamed, Yousry Nasrallah, Mohamed Khan, and Tarek Alarian. [1] He is also one of the key artistic directors behind the Pharaohs' Golden Parade and the parade that celebrated the restoration of Luxor's Avenue of Sphinxes. [2]

He received the Egyptian National Film Festival's Best Art Design Award for his work in The Blue Elephant, the Egyptian Catholic Center For Cinema's Best Art Director Award for The Originals, the Cairo Design Award's Golden Award in the Production Design Category for Diamond Dust and Blue Elephant: Dark Whispers, and the Silver Award for his work in Sons of Rizk 2. Education and career

Attia studied dentistry at Cairo University for five months before deciding it wasn't his passion. He then transferred to the Faculty of Fine Arts in Zamalek, where he interned on the set of Al Mohager (The Emigrant) — a 1994 film directed by Youssef Chahine. [4]

In 1995, he completed his architectural studies and began working as a draftsman in France. After working on drawings for over three years, he jumped at the chance to return to Cairo and help renovate buildings at the 1930s-era production complex Studio Misr. There, he met production designer and art director Salah Marei, who encouraged him to change careers and introduced him to film director Khan. [5]

The Night of Counting the Years, also released in Egypt as The Mummy (Elmomya) (المومياء), is a 1969 Egyptian film and the only feature film directed by Shadi Abdel Salam. It features Nadia Lutfi in special appearance. It is the 3rd on the list of Top 100 Egyptian films. The film was produced by Roberto Rossellini for General Egyptian Cinema Organisation. Rossellini was instrumental in encouraging Abdel Salam to make the film, The Night of the Changing Years tells a story set among the grave robbers of Kurna in Upper Egypt.

Mohamed Hamed Hassan Khan was an Egyptian film director, screenwriter, and actor. He was a pivotal member of the "1980s generation" in Egyptian cinema, along with directors such as Khairy Beshara, Daoud Abd El-Sayed, Atef El-Tayeb, and Yousry Nasrallah. His main aesthetic credo, in line with directors from his generation, was a reinvigorated realism seeking direct documentation of everyday life in Cairo, beyond the walls of the studio. Khan has 4 films in the Top 100 Egyptian films list.

And the Devil is their third accomplice is a 1978 psychological drama romance film directed by Sami Shalaby and based on a scenario of the same name written by Youssef Francis. The film stars Mervat Amin and Mahmoud Yassin as a young couple who fall in love. The story is narrated from the present day by Hesham, telling the tale of how he ended up in prison after being accused of the kidnapping of Afaf, to the audience.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) is a large museum located in Old Cairo, a district of Cairo, Egypt. The Pharaohs' Golden Parade was an event held in Cairo, Egypt on 3 April 2021, during which twenty-two mummies belonging to Kings and Queens of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt were moved from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat.
