Mohammad Moyeenul Haque [a] is a retired three-star admiral who was assistant chief of naval staff (material) of the Bangladesh Navy. Prior to that he was the senior directing staff (navy) at the National Defence College and the commander of BN Dockyard.

Early life and education

Moyeenul Haque attended Faujdarhat Cadet College. He was commissioned into the Bangladesh Navy on 1 July 1986 in the engineering branch. He earned a bachelor's degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in naval architecture and marine engineering. Subsequently, he studied at Defence Services Command and Staff College, Pakistan Navy Engineering College, and National Defence University in Pakistan. [2]

Military career

Moyeenul Haque served two tours in Kuwait with UNIKOM in 2003. He was also a military observer in Liberia with UNMIL from 2004 to 2005. [2]

As of March 2018, Moyeenul Haque commanded the BN Dockyard. [3] He served as the assistant chief of naval staff (material). In 2021, he was senior directing staff (navy) at National Defence College. [4]

He was promoted to vice admiral effective the day he retired, 30 November 2023. [1]
