Mohammad Yaqoob Mir (born 28 May 1957) is an Indian Judge and former Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court.
Mir was born in 1957 at Rajpora,Pulwama,Kashmir. He passed LL.B. from Kashmir University and practiced as an Advocate since 1981 to 1993. [1] Mir qualified for Higher Judicial Services and was appointed District and Sessions Judge on 27 May 1993. He also served as Special Judge,Anti-Corruption in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. He became the Registrar General of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir. Mir attended International Conference on Arbitration (ICCA). He was appointed Additional Judge of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court in November 2007. On 1 October 2009 he became permanent Judge of the same High Court. Justice Mir took charge of the Acting Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court from 5 January 2015 to 2 February 2015. Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was an Indian politician who served twice as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir,during November 2002–November 2005 and March 2015–January 2016. He was also Minister of Tourism in Rajiv Gandhi's cabinet and Home Minister of India in V. P. Singh's cabinet. He started in the wing of the National Conference led by G. M. The High Court of Jammu &Kashmir and Ladakh is the common high court for union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. It was established as the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir on 26 March 1928 by the Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir. The seat of the court shifts between the summer capital Srinagar and winter capital Jammu. The court has a sanctioned judge strength of 17,13 of whom are permanent judges,and 4 are additional judges. Since 13 February 2023,the chief justice of the court is N. Kotiswar Singh.

The Central Government has approved the appointment of former Chief Justice of Manipur High Court,Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar as the president of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) for a period of five years in October 28,2021. Justice Sudhakar has been appointed for a period of five years from the date of appointment or till he attains the age of 67 or until further orders,whichever is earlier.
