Nawab Bahadur Yar Jung was an Indian politician and foremost Muslim leader in the Hyderabad Deccan. He founded All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen and the branches of Khaksars in Hyderabad and was known as a powerful religious preacher. In 1938, he was elected the President of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, a position in which he served till his death.
Mohammadzai, also spelled Moḥammadzay, is a Pashtun sub-tribe or clan of the Barakzai which is part of the Durrani confederacy of tribes. They are primarily centered on Kandahar, Kabul and Ghazni in Afghanistan. The Mohammadzai ruled Afghanistan from 1823 to 1978, for a total of 155 years. Their rule ended under Daoud Khan when the Communists took power via a Soviet-backed coup.

The Barakzai dynasty also known as the Muhammadzai dynasty ruled modern day Afghanistan from 1823 to 1978 when the monarchy ended de jure under Musahiban Mohammad Zahir Shah and de facto under his cousin Sardar Mohammad Daoud Khan. The Barakzai dynasty was established by Dost Mohammad Khan after the Durrani dynasty of Ahmad Shah Durrani was removed from power. As the Pahlavi era in Iran, the Muhammadzai era was known for its progressivist modernity in which Afghanistan was referred to as the "Switzerland of Asia".
Talagang is a city and the headquarters of the Talagang District located in Punjab, Pakistan. It is part of the Potohar Plateau and lies on the north of Salt Range and east of the Kala Chita range. Talagang is known for its literature and has produced prolific writers and poets including Dr. Satyapal Anand, who was born in 1931, in the adjoining village Kot Sarang. The area largely depends upon arid agriculture. It’s famous for its peanut production which is the highest in the Potohar region consisting of around 42,000 acres of cultivation followed by Chakwal, which has around 34,985 acres. Bārakzai is the name of a Pashtun tribe from present-day, Kandahar, Afghanistan. '"Barakzai" is a common name among the Pashtuns and it means "son of Barak" in Pashto. According to the Encyclopædia Iranica, "In the detailed Pashtun genealogies there are no fewer than seven instances of the ethnic name Bārakzī, at very different levels of tribal segmentation. Six of them designate simple lineages within six different tribes located in the Solaymān mountains or adjacent lands... The seventh instance, on the other hand, designates one of the most important Pashtun tribes in numbers and historic role, part of the Zīrak branch of the Dorrānay confederation.

The squash world was still recovering from the sudden deaths of Torsam Khan and Kim Bruce-Lockhart who both died from heart attacks whilst playing squash. Torsam Khan died during November 1979 and Kim Bruce-Lockhart died in January 1980.

Voices of Future Generations for the Middle East Region is a writing initiative that promotes sustainability and the United Nations convention on the Rights of the Child. Sheikha Hissa Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the Goodwill Ambassador of this initiative. In 2014, VoFG was launched internationally, whereas the launch of the Voices of Future Generations for the Middle East region was in 2019. The initiative organizes a writing competition for students aging between 8 and 12 years, which encourages young writers to incorporate the Sustainable Development Goals and the United Nations convention on the Rights of the Child into their stories.
Baakki Vannavar is a 2022 Malayalam film directed by Amal Prasi and starring Salmanul in the lead role. The film was premiered at the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) in Thiruvananthapuram on December 2022. The film through the main character, represents a replica of an average Malayali Man, fresh out of college without a proper job. The movie also stars Anekh Bose, Lejeesh Mani, Faeez Muhammed, Ansu Sabu, Rehas Muhammed, Anandhu Madhu, Nithin Babu, and Mirshan Khan. Baakki Vannavar was also selected for the Indian Film festival of Melbourne. The film is backed by Filmmaker Rajeev Ravi, backed by his Collective Phase One team members.
