He was also a member of the House of Representatives of the federal parliament of Nepal. He was elected under the first-past-the-post system from Parsa-4 constituency,representing Rastriya Janata Party Nepal. He defeated his nearest rival Ramesh Rijal of Nepali Congress by acquiring 20,738 votes to Rijal's 14,702.
Uma Shankar Aragriya is a Nepalese politician belonging to the CPN (UML) who served as the Minister of Culture,Tourism and Civil Aviation since 4 June 2021 but was removed from the post by Supreme Court on 22 June 2021 making his tenure of just 18 days one of the shortest till date. He was also a member of the 1st Federal Parliament of Nepal after winning in 2017 Nepalese general election from Dhanusha 2 constituency. Arglariya formerly a popular leader,is thought to join Nepali Congress as his party,Loktantrik Samajwadi Party went clean swept in Dhanusha district in recent local level election.
Ekbal Miya is a Nepalese politician and was Minister of Youth and Sports of Government of Nepal since 4 June 2021 but was removed from the post by Supreme Court on 22 June 2021. He started his political life in 2043 BS from ANNFSU but in 2073 BS he joined the then Terai Madhes Loktantrik Party,became a central committee member of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal and is currently a People's Socialist Party,Nepal leader.
Nain Kala Thapa is a Nepali politician and was Minister of Information and Communications of Government of Nepal. She is the wife of former Home Minister of Nepal Ram Bahadur Thapa. KP Sharma Oli was appointed Prime Minister of Nepal for a third time on 13 May 2021 by President Bidya Devi Bhandari,as a minority prime minister,as none of the opposition parties were able to form a majority government or lay their claim for it in the provided time frame. Citing the provision mentioned in Article 76 (3) of the constitution,Oli,being the leader of the largest party in the House of Representatives,was re-appointed prime minister,requiring him to again prove a majority in the house within 30 days from his appointment. On 22 May 2021,House of Representatives was again dissolved for the second time within 6 months by a cabinet decision followed by approval of President with elections set to be held on 12 and 19 November in two phases.

The Minister of Women,Children and Senior Citizens is the head of the Ministry of Women,Children and Senior Citizens of the Government of Nepal. One of the senior-most officers in the Federal Cabinet,the minister is responsibility to formulate policies for social and economic empowerment to promote the role of women,children,senior citizens and various sections of the society in the sustainable peace and development of the country.
