Mohit Kamal (born 2 January 1960) is a Bangladeshi psychiatrist specialized in narcotics/drug addiction related issues. He is a professor of psychotherapy and a former director of National Institute of Mental Health and Hospital, Dhaka. He is also a fiction writer. In recognition of his contributions to child literature, he received Agrani Bank Shishu Academy Child literature Award in 2011 and won Bangla Academy Literary Award-2018 in fiction category. Early life

Kamal was born on 2 January 1960 at Sandwip Upazila of Chittagong to Asadul Haq and Masuda Khatun. [4] He completed his secondary education from Chittagong Collegiate School and College and higher secondary from Chittagong College. He obtained his MBBS degree from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College.

The National Child Award is the most notable among the activities of Bangladesh Shishu Academy. This contest has been held since 1978. Competition was held in two groups of 62 topics in literature, culture and sports. In the upazila level, the first place in the district has participated in the national level after crossing the district level and the zonal level. In this competition, about 3 lakh children participate in the opportunity to develop their talents every year. The goal of this competition is to explore the latent talents and talents of children from the grassroots level.

Shahaduz Zaman is a writer in Bengali literature. He is a medical anthropologist and a trained physician. He published over 30 books in different genres such as short stories, novels, travelogues, columns, and essays on contemporary issues. He won the Bangla Academy Literary Award in 2016 in the fiction category.

Agrani Bank Shishu Academy Children's Literature Award is a prize for writers working on children's literature, which is provided by the Bangladesh Shishu Academy. In 1981, Agrani Bank and Children's Literature Award was instituted. It was named 'Agrani Bank-Shishu Sahitya Puraskar' since 2007.

Halima Khatun was a Bangladeshi activist, writer and academic. She took part in Bengali Language Movement in 1952 along with other activists including Rawshan Ara Bachchu. She was the recipient of Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1981 and Ekushey Padak posthumously in 2019.

Subrata Barua is a Bangladeshi writer. He was awarded Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1983.
