Mokil, or known to the locals as Mwoakilloa, is one of 6 outer-island municipalities on Mokil Atoll in the state of Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia. Almost 200 people live on a land area of about 1 square km.

The atoll was formerly known as Wellington Island.

The atoll is home to a local legend of a Princess Eti, who could speak in many tongues, and communicated with the first French explorers to the island.

Betsey, was launched in 1801 at Calcutta, India. She made one voyage for the British East India Company (EIC) as Betsey. Around 1814 she sailed to England and was sold to English owners who renamed her Marquis of Wellington. As Marquis of Wellington she made a second voyage for the EIC after transporting convicts to New South Wales. She was returning to England in 1818 when she was wrecked near Margate.

And Atoll Biosphere Reserve is a Biosphere reserve located in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). It was declared in 2007 and covers on area of 950 hectares on land and waters associated with the Ant Atoll.

The Human Rights Measurement Initiative finds that the Federated States of Micronesia are fulfilling 94.9% of what it should be fulfilling for the right to health based on its level of income. When looking at the right to health with respect to children, the Federated States of Micronesia achieve 97.1% of what is expected based on their current income. In regards to the right to health amongst the adult population, the country achieves only 91.9% of what is expected based on the nation's level of income. The Federated States of Micronesia fall into the "good" category when evaluating the right to reproductive health because the nation is fulfilling only 95.8% of what the nation is expected to achieve based on the resources (income) it has available.
