Dino Meneghin is an Italian former professional basketball player. He is widely considered to be the best Italian player ever, as well as one of Europe's all-time greats. A 2.06 m tall center, Meneghin was born in Alano di Piave, Veneto. On November 20, 1966, when he was 16 years old, he played in his first game in the Italian League, with Ignis Varese. He played the last game of his career at the age of 45. In 2003, Meneghin became a Basketball Hall of Fame player and in 2010, he became a FIBA Hall of Fame player.

In 1991, Galis was named one of FIBA's 50 Greatest Players. In 2007, he became an inaugural member of the FIBA Hall of Fame. In 2008, he was chosen as one of the 50 Greatest EuroLeague Contributors. In 2017, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Panagiotis "Panos" Fasoulas is a Greek politician and former professional basketball player. He was selected in the second round by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 1986 NBA draft, but never decided to play in the NBA. Considered to be one of the best big men ever in European basketball, Fasoulas became a FIBA Hall of Fame player in 2016.
The Great Britain men's national basketball team represents Great Britain in international basketball competitions. The national team is administered by British Basketball.
Stepas Butautas was a Soviet and Lithuanian professional basketball player and coach. He trained at the VSS Žalgiris, in Kaunas. He played with the Soviet Union men's national basketball team at the 1952 Summer Olympic Games, where he won a silver medal. During the tournament, he played in all eight games.

Aleksandar "Aleks" Vezenkov, commonly known as Sasha Vezenkov, is a Bulgarian professional basketball player for Olympiacos of the Greek Basket League and the EuroLeague. He is a 2.06 m tall 102 kg (225 lb.) power forward, that can also play as a small forward. Vezenkov was born in Cyprus, but, due to his Bulgarian descent, he has regularly chosen to represent the Bulgarian national team. Vezenkov holds triple citizenship for Bulgaria, Cyprus and Greece.

Emma Meesseman is a Belgian professional basketball player for UMMC Ekaterinburg of the Russian Premier League and the Chicago Sky of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).
