Monkoto is a territory of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is located in Tshuapa Province.

The village of Monkoto (Coordinates: 1°44′40″S20°41′10″E / 1.74444°S 20.68611°E / -1.74444; 20.68611 ) is within Monkoto Territory. It is on the Momboyo river and is served by Monkoto Airport. [1] [2]

Monkoto was the birthplace of Ambroise Boimbo. [3]

The Momboyo River is a river in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It joins the Busira River to form the Ruki River, a tributary of the Congo River. The Momboya and its main tributary the Luilaka are navigable for 545 kilometres (339 mi) from its mouth.

The Blackwater River is located in the Buller District of New Zealand. It is the name given to the lower reaches of the Big River, from its junction with the Blackwater Creek to its outflow into the Māwheraiti River. It flows generally westwards for 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) before turning southwards immediately prior to its junction with the Māwheraiti 2.5 kilometres (1.6 mi) north of the township of Ikamatua. It joins with the similar-sized Snowy River 100 metres (330 ft) before its junction with the Māwheraiti.
