"Monsters" is a song recorded by Macedonian singer and songwriter Tamara Todevska for her upcoming third studio album. It was written by Kosta Petrov and produced by Darko Dimitrov, Lazar Cvetkovski and Robert Bilbilov. [1] The song was released as a single through Dimitrov on 24 November 2019. [2]

Tamara performed the song for the first time at the 21st edition of Kënga Magjike on 24 November 2019. [3] [4] She performed the song for the second time in the second semi-final on 5 December 2019 and finished fifth overall in the grand final on 7 December 2019. [5] She additionally won the award for the Best Big International Artist. [6]

It was the Macedonian entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, which took place in Tel Aviv. Although the song was initially planned to be released on 4 March 2019, the release date was postponed the day before to 8 March 2019 to coincide with International Women's Day. Todevska performed "Proud" during the second Eurovision semi-final on 16 May 2019, and qualified for the final, where it placed seventh with 305 points, despite winning the jury vote.

Kënga Magjike 2019 was the 21st edition of the annual music contest Kënga Magjike and was held on 4, 5 and 7 December 2019 at the Pallati i Kongreseve in Tirana broadcast live on Televizioni Klan. Anna Oxa, as she stated, bought a ticket and sat with the public in the first semi-final as an act of solidarity.
