MonstrO was a hard rock band composed of drummer Bevan Davies (formerly of Still Rain, Danzig and Bloodsimple), guitarist Juan Montoya (formerly of Torche), singer/guitarist Charlie Suarez (formerly of Sunday Driver), and bassist Kyle Sanders (formerly of Bloodsimple and also brother of Mastodon bassist Troy Sanders). They formed in late 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia and played their first gig in April 2010. [1] The band drew upon music such as ‘60s psychedelia, shoegaze, and heavy metal, as well as other personal influences. [2] They signed with Vagrant Records in March 2011, [3] Their self-titled debut album was released in August 2011, [4] and was produced by William DuVall. [5] They toured as the opening act for Clutch in 2012. [6] The band has been inactive since 2013. Bassist Kyle Sanders has been a member of Hellyeah since 2014.

Anthrax (American band) American heavy metal band

Anthrax is an American heavy metal band from New York City, formed in 1981 by rhythm guitarist Scott Ian and bassist Dan Lilker. The group is considered one of the leaders of the thrash metal scene from the 1980s and is part of the "Big Four" of the genre, along with Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer. They were also one of the first thrash metal bands to emerge from the East Coast. The band has released 11 studio albums, several other albums, and 26 singles, including collaborating on a single with American hip hop group Public Enemy. Bevan Davies is an American musician best known as the drummer for the groups Still Rain, playing in the band Gibraltar right out of high school. Madfly, Comes with the Fall and Danzig while he is currently a member of MonstrO, a group he formed with former members of Bloodsimple and Torche. Previously, Davies had also been a touring drummer for Jerry Cantrell, Static-X, Engelbert Humperdinck, Cardboard Vampyres, The Mercy Clinic, Invitro and Bloodsimple.

The Sword

The Sword is an American heavy metal band from Austin, Texas. Formed in 2003, the band is currently composed of vocalist and guitarist John D. Cronise, guitarist Kyle Shutt, bassist Bryan Richie and drummer Santiago "Jimmy" Vela III. Originally signed to Kemado Records, the group released its debut album Age of Winters in 2006, the material for which had been largely written by Cronise prior to the band's formation. Gods of the Earth was released two years later, giving the group its first entry on the US Billboard 200 chart when it reached number 102.

William DuVall American musician

William Bradley DuVall is an American musician, best known as the current co-lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the rock band Alice in Chains. He joined Alice in Chains in 2006, replacing the band's original lead singer Layne Staley, who died in 2002, and shares vocal duties with guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell. To date, DuVall has recorded three albums with the band, 2009's Black Gives Way to Blue, 2013's The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, and 2018's Rainier Fog. DuVall won an ASCAP Pop Music Award for co-writing the song "I Know" for Dionne Farris in 1996.

Comes with the Fall American rock band from Atlanta

Comes with the Fall is an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 1999. Since 2001, the line-up has been composed of William DuVall, Adam Stanger (bass) and Bevan Davies. Nico Constantine was the band's second guitarist before departing in 2001. They served as Jerry Cantrell's backing band in support of his solo album, Degradation Trip, in 2002 while DuVall joined Alice in Chains as lead singer during the band's reunion concerts in 2006, becoming an official member by 2008.

Hellyeah American heavy metal supergroup

Hellyeah, stylized as HELLYEAH, is an American heavy metal supergroup formed in Dallas, Texas, in 2006. The band's current lineup consists of lead vocalist Chad Gray, guitarists Christian Brady and Tom Maxwell, bassist Kyle Sanders, and drummer Roy Mayorga. The idea to form a supergroup originated in 2000 on the Tattoo the Earth tour, although plans were constantly put on hold due to scheduling conflicts. The summer of 2006 allowed the band to take the project seriously and record its first album. Recorded at Chasin' Jason studio in Dimebag Darrell's backyard, their self-titled album entered the Billboard 200 at number 9, selling 45,000 copies. They have since released five more studio albums.

Red Harvest is the second and final album by American metal band Bloodsimple, released on October 30, 2007. Will Hunt of the band Dark New Day played drums on the album. Frontman Tim Williams explained that the title of the album is based on the 1929 book of the same name by Dashiell Hammett.

Torche (band)

Torche is an American heavy metal band from Miami, Florida. The group formed in 2004 and has released five full-length studio albums, four EPs, two split albums, and three singles. They released their fifth full-length studio album, Admission, on July 12, 2019.

Medication (band)

Medication was a group that included Logan Mader, Whitfield Crane, B. Blunt, Kyle Sanders and Roy Mayorga. They released a self-titled EP and an LP called Prince Valium through Locomotive Music, and filmed a video for the song "Inside". Before the recording of Prince Valium, Roy Mayorga parted ways from the group to rejoin Soulfly for the recording of 3. He was replaced by Chris Hamilton. They played one show in Los Angeles with Nu Metal band Strain 999 at The Whisky on Sunset with Robert Trujillo, now of Metallica, on bass. They disbanded in 2003 due to the cancellation of their European tour and the US branch of their record label closing.

Ratt is an American heavy metal band that had significant commercial success in the 1980s, with their albums having been certified as gold, platinum, and multi-platinum by the RIAA. The group is perhaps best known for hit singles such as "Round and Round" and "Lay It Down", each track having ranked on Billboard's top 40. The Year Is One is the second studio album released by American rock band Comes with the Fall. Guitarist Nico Constantine amicably parted ways with the band before recording began to pursue other interests, however, he is credited for co-writing the music to the opening track "Murder Scene". This is the first album Comes with the Fall recorded as a trio, which has been the lineup ever since.

Vastum is an American death metal band, formed in 2009 in San Francisco, California. The current line-up of the band consists of bassist Luca Indrio, guitarist and vocalist Leila Abdul-Rauf, vocalist Daniel Butler, drummer Adam Perry, and guitarist Shelby Lermo.

"Phantom Limb" is a song by the American rock band Alice in Chains and the tenth track on their fifth studio album, The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here (2013). The lyrics were written by Alice in Chains' co-lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist William DuVall, who also played the guitar solo in the song, the first solo he wrote for Alice in Chains. The song premiered on radio via Seattle station KISW on March 25, 2013.

Metal Allegiance is an American heavy metal supergroup, formed in Long Island, New York, in 2014 by bassist and songwriter Mark Menghi. Shortly after, he recruited bassist David Ellefson from Megadeth, guitarist Alex Skolnick from Testament, and drummer Mike Portnoy, formerly of Dream Theater. Though the group does not have an official lead singer, they usually hire guest musicians to contribute vocals and/or guitar parts to their studio recordings and live shows, including Andreas Kisser of Sepultura and Mark Osegueda of Death Angel. To date, Metal Allegiance has released two studio albums and one EP.
