Bevan Davies is an American musician best known as the drummer for the hard rock and heavy metal bands Madfly, [1] Comes with the Fall, [2] and Danzig, [3] and for forming the band MonstrO. [4] He has also served as touring drummer for Jerry Cantrell, [2] Static-X, [5] and Engelbert Humperdinck, [1] among numerous others.
Bevan Davies began his musical career as the drummer for Still Rain in the early 1990s. [1] When the band split in 1995, [1] Davies formed the band Mouthpiece, appearing on an EP in 1996 before leaving the group. [1] He then joined Madfly [6] which also included singer William DuVall. The band released the albums Get the Silver and White Hot in the Black . [2] After some lineup changes, the band changed its name to Comes with the Fall in 1999 [2] and released a self-titled album under that name the following year. [7]
In 2001, Comes with the Fall served as an opening act for a solo tour by Jerry Cantrell. [8] On dates when Cantrell's drummer Mike Bordin was unavailable, Davies filled in. [9] Davies appeared on Comes with the Fall's subsequent albums The Year is One in 2002 and Beyond the Last Light in 2007. [2]
In 2003, Davies left Comes with the Fall temporarily to join Danzig, [3] and appeared on the 2004 album Circle of Snakes. [10] He toured with the band throughout 2005 and again temporarily in 2010. During this period Davies was recruited to be the touring drummer for Engelbert Humperdinck [1] and formed the cover band Cardboard Vampyres with Cantrell and Billy Duffy. [11] Davies was also briefly a member of The Mercy Clinic. [12] In 2007 he toured temporarily with Static-X and joined Bloodsimple. [13]
In 2010, Davies formed the band MonstrO with former Bloodsimple bassist Kyle Sanders, [4] former Torche guitarist Juan Montoya, [4] and singer/guitarist Charlie Suarez. [4] The band's self-titled album, produced by DuVall, [14] was released in 2011 and they toured regularly until breaking up in 2013. Davies later appeared in the backing band for Wayne Static, and released a solo album in 2016 featuring numerous guest stars. [15]

Alice in Chains is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1987. Since 2006, the band's lineup has comprised vocalist/guitarists Jerry Cantrell and William DuVall, bassist Mike Inez and drummer Sean Kinney. Vocalist Layne Staley and bassist Mike Starr are former members of the band, having died in 2002 and 2011, respectively. The band took its name from Staley's previous group, Alice N' Chains. Often associated with grunge music, Alice in Chains' sound and style is deeply rooted in heavy metal music. The band is known for its distinctive vocal style, which often included the harmonized vocals between Staley and Cantrell, making Alice in Chains a two-vocal band.
Danzig is an American heavy metal band led by former Samhain and Misfits singer Glenn Danzig. Formed in 1987 in Lodi, New Jersey, the group early on became a unique voice in the rock scene, playing a bluesy, doom-laden metal with Glenn Danzig crooning in the style of Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley. After a major hit with a live version of its 1988 song "Mother", the band experimented with industrial music but later returned to heavy metal. As of 2023, Danzig has released 12 studio albums, two EPs, one live album, and one compilation album.
Jerry Fulton Cantrell Jr. is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He is best known as the founder, lead guitarist, co-lead vocalist, and main songwriter of the rock band Alice in Chains. The band rose to international fame in the early 1990s during Seattle's grunge movement and is known for its distinctive vocal style and the harmonized vocals between Cantrell and Layne Staley. Cantrell started to sing lead vocals on Alice in Chains' 1992 EP Sap. After Staley's death in 2002, Cantrell took the role of Alice in Chains' lead singer on most of the songs from the band's post-Staley albums, Black Gives Way to Blue (2009), The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here (2013), and Rainier Fog (2018), with DuVall harmonizing with him in the new songs and singing Staley's vocals in the old songs in live concerts.
Patrick "Pat" Lachman is an American heavy metal guitarist and vocalist, best known as the lead vocalist of Damageplan. He has also played guitar for Halford, Killswitch Engage, The Mercy Clinic and Burn It All. He currently performs with Diesel Machine.
Degradation Trip is the second solo album by Alice in Chains guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell, released on June 18, 2002. It marks his difficult transition from Columbia Records to Roadrunner, and was dedicated to Alice in Chains lead singer Layne Staley, who died two months before the album's release. The title was taken from the song "Solitude", the fifth track from the album. Degradation Trip featured two singles and was well received by critics, faring better than Cantrell's solo debut and bearing stronger resemblance to his work in Alice in Chains. The tracks "Anger Rising" and "Angel Eyes" were released as singles. "Anger Rising" reached No. 10 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks and stayed on the chart for 18 weeks. The album has sold 100,000 copies in the U.S. as of December 2002. In April 2019, it was ranked No. 21 on Rolling Stone's "50 Greatest Grunge Albums" list. Degradation Trip was released on vinyl for the first time on January 20, 2017, with a limited edition of 1,500 copies on transparent green vinyl.
Sean Howard Kinney is an American musician, best known as the drummer and co-founder of the rock band Alice in Chains. Kinney also founded the short-lived supergroup Spys4Darwin, and has collaborated with other artists such as Johnny Cash and Metallica. He played drums for his Alice in Chains bandmate, Jerry Cantrell's first solo album, Boggy Depot (1998). Since 2009, Kinney has been co-owner of The Crocodile club in Seattle. He was a guest drummer on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers in September 2018. Kinney has earned nine Grammy Award nominations as a member of Alice in Chains.
William Bradley DuVall is an American musician best known as the current co-lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the rock band Alice in Chains. He joined Alice in Chains in 2006, replacing the band's original lead singer, Layne Staley, who died in 2002, and shares vocal duties with guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell. DuVall has recorded three albums with the band: 2009's Black Gives Way to Blue, 2013's The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, and 2018's Rainier Fog. DuVall won an ASCAP Pop Music Award for co-writing the song "I Know" for Dionne Farris in 1996, and has earned three Grammy Award nominations as a member of Alice in Chains.
Comes with the Fall is an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia formed in 1999. Since 2001, the lineup has been composed of William DuVall, Adam Stanger (bass), and Bevan Davies. Nico Constantine was the band's second guitarist before departing in 2001. They served as Jerry Cantrell's backing band in support of his solo album Degradation Trip in 2002, while DuVall joined Alice in Chains as lead singer during the band's reunion concerts in 2006, becoming an official member in 2008. The band's name is from the cult horror classic Rosemary's Baby that an investigating Mia Farrow spells out on scrabble pieces.

Black Gives Way to Blue is the fourth studio album by the American rock band Alice in Chains, released on September 29, 2009, on the 17th anniversary of the release of their second album, Dirt. It is their first record without original lead singer Layne Staley, who died in 2002, and their first album with new vocalist and rhythm guitarist William DuVall sharing vocal duties with lead guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell, who sings lead vocals on most of the songs. The title track is a tribute to Staley featuring Elton John on piano. This is the first Alice in Chains album released on Virgin Records and their first venture away from Columbia, who handled all of their previous releases. The album debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, and was certified gold by the RIAA on May 26, 2010, with shipments exceeding 500,000 copies in the U.S. and over 1 million copies sold worldwide. "Check My Brain" and "A Looking in View" were both nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2010 and 2011, respectively. Black Gives Way to Blue won Revolver magazine's Golden Gods Award for Album of the Year in 2010.
"A Looking in View" is a song by American rock band Alice in Chains, featured on their fourth studio album, Black Gives Way to Blue (2009). It was the first publicly released song from the album and was available for purchase on June 30, 2009, and for a limited time it was available as a free download through the official Alice in Chains website. Although it was not the album's first official single, Rock stations across the U.S. started playing the song after it was made available for streaming. The first official radio single, "Check My Brain", was released in August 2009.

The Year Is One is the second studio album by American rock band Comes with the Fall, released in 2001. Guitarist Nico Constantine amicably parted ways with the band before recording began to pursue other interests, however, he is credited for co-writing the music to the opening track "Murder Scene". This is the first album Comes with the Fall recorded as a trio, which has been the lineup ever since.
Adam Stanger is an American musician best known as the bassist for the band Comes with the Fall. The Year is One, the band's second album, was released in 2001 to positive reviews. The following year, Comes with the Fall were announced to be Jerry Cantrell's opening and backing band for his tour in support of Degradation Trip, Cantrell's second solo album. Comes with the Fall toured with Cantrell throughout 2002, while they released a live album, titled Live 2002, the same year. A live DVD Live Underground 2002 towards the end of the 2003 and they planned to record and release a new album by 2004.

Madfly was an American glam rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 1996. Its members were William DuVall, Nico Constantine (guitar), Jeffrey Blount, and Bevan Davies (drums). They recorded and released two albums, Get the Silver and White Hot in the Black, before changing their name to Comes with the Fall, following the departure of Jeffrey Blount in 1999.
Kyle Sanders is an American bass guitarist who was a member of heavy metal supergroup Hellyeah and is currently a member of Kerry King's solo band. He previously played for Skrew, Medication, Bloodsimple, and MonstrO. He is the brother of Mastodon bassist Troy Sanders, who he has occasionally collaborated with.
Rainier Fog is the sixth studio album by American rock band Alice in Chains, released on August 24, 2018, through BMG, the band's first release on the label. The title was inspired by Mount Rainier, a volcano that overlooks the Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area, and the title track is a tribute to the Seattle music scene. This is the band's third album with William DuVall sharing lead vocals with Jerry Cantrell, and the first Alice in Chains album in 22 years to be recorded in their hometown of Seattle. The album was partially recorded at Seattle's Studio X, the same studio where the band recorded their 1995 self-titled album. Rainier Fog is also Alice in Chains' third collaboration with producer Nick Raskulinecz, marking their first time recording three full-length albums with the same producer.
