Monte Carlo is a motor yacht in the superyacht category. She was named after the Monte Carlo quarter of Monaco.

History

Monte Carlo was built by Amels in their Hakvoort shipyard in The Netherlands and launched in 1988. [1] She was designed by Diana Yacht Design BV. [1] She underwent an extensive refit in 1999 (including an interior refit designed by Dee Robinson), and lesser refits in 2004 and 2006. [1]

Monte Carlo currently cruises the Mediterranean Sea in the Summer cruising season, and the Caribbean in the Winter cruising season, crossing the Atlantic Ocean twice each year.

The vessel is powered by twin 1,550hp MTU engines, and has a range of 4000 nautical miles at 10.8 knots. [1]

Motor Yacht A is a superyacht designed by Philippe Starck and engineered by naval architect Martin Francis. It was built by the Blohm + Voss shipyard at the HDW deepwater facility in Kiel. With a length of 119 metres (390 ft) and displacing almost 6,000 tonnes, it is one of the largest motor yachts in the world. Nero is one of the world's largest luxury motor yachts, measuring 90.1 metres (296 ft) in length. The design was inspired by J.P. Morgan's Corsair yachts. She was commissioned by Neil Taylor and built in China at Yantai Raffles Shipyard by Corsair Yachts in 2007 with architecture by IMT Marine Consultants. She features a master duplex suite with ensuite bath and shower rooms, a private sundeck and swimming pool. Guest accommodation includes two 'VIP' suites and two cabins.

Jonathan Quinn Barnett is a super yacht designer from Seattle, Washington. He apprenticed with Ron Holland and Jon Bannenberg for nearly seven years beginning in 1987, and founded Jonathan Quinn Barnett Ltd. in 1995.

<i>La Sultana</i> yacht launched in 1962

La Sultana is a yacht that has been refitted from a Soviet era ferry. She was launched in 1962, under the name Aji-Petri and was the fifth in a series of 12 ships that were originally built for the Russian fleet. Her purpose was to transport freight and passengers between the ports of Odessa, Yalta, Sebastopol and Istanbul between the Azov and Black seas. During the Cold War, the ship was believed to be used as a Soviet spy vessel. During the refitting process several spying instruments were discovered, including a radioactivity detector and thick aluminum insulation across the entire boat.

The 60.35 m (198.0 ft) superyacht ROCK.IT was launched at the Feadship yard in Aalsmeer. The Dutch design company, Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design, designed both the interior and exterior of ROCK.IT. Owner Jimmy John Liautaud was involved in almost every aspect of the yacht's creation.

<i>Here Comes The Sun</i> (yacht) Cayman Islands luxury motor yacht launched in 2016

The 83 m (272 ft) superyacht Here Comes The Sun was launched by Amels Holland B.V. at their yard in Vlissingen. The yacht’s exterior is the design work of Tim Heywood who is also behind the entire Amels Limited Editions range. Winch Design was selected by the owner to create the custom interior of Here Comes the Sun that flows across five decks.

Lalibela was a 42 metres (138 ft) yacht which was destroyed by fire, while docked in Port Camille Rayon, Golfe Juan, on October 13, 2018.
