The Monts du Toura, also known as the Toura Mountains, are a range of mountains rising to 1300 metres in elevation, extending westward across Ivory Coast from the Sassandra River to the border with Liberia and Guinea. Mont Nimba, at the western end of the range, reaches 1,752 m. [1]

The Mont Sangbé National Park, one of the world's principal national parks, [2] covering an area of 95,000 ha (950 km2/360 sq m) north of Man and west of the Sassandra, between Biankouma and Touba, is located entirely within the Toura mountains (including 14 peaks over 1000 m). The park is very densely vegetated savanna woodland with wildlife populations of elephants, buffaloes, warthog, antelopes, and monkeys. [1] [2]

Other protected areas include the Gueoule and Mont Glo forest reserves.

The Nimba Range forms part of the southern extent of the Guinea Highlands, adjacent to the Toura Mountains. The highest peak is Mount Nimba on the border of Liberia, Ivory Coast and Guinea, at 1,752 m (5,748 ft), and at the intersection of the Nimba and Toura Mountains. "Mount Nimba" may refer either to Mount Richard-Molard or to the entire range. Other peaks include Grand Rochers at 1,694 m (5,558 ft), Mont Sempéré at 1,682 m (5,518 ft), Mont Piérré Richaud at 1,670 m (5,480 ft), Mont Tô at 1,675 m (5,495 ft), and Mont LeClerc 1,577 m (5,174 ft), all of them are located in Guinea. Mount Nimba Strict Nature Reserve of Guinea and Ivory Coast covers significant portions of the Nimba Range.

Mont Niénokoué is an inselberg in the Taï National Park in the Bas-Sassandra District of south-west Ivory Coast. Its summit is 396 meters above sea level and 216 meters above the surrounding terrain. Its base circumference is about 40 kilometers.
