The Scottish Football Association is the governing body of football in Scotland and has the ultimate responsibility for the control and development of football in Scotland. Members of the SFA include clubs in Scotland, affiliated national associations as well as local associations. It was formed in 1873, making it the second oldest national football association in the world. It is not to be confused with the Scottish Football Union, which is the name that the SRU was known by until the 1920s.
John Grant Robertson is a Scottish professional football coach and former player, who is currently the sporting director of Inverness Caledonian Thistle. His playing career included spells at Newcastle United, Dundee and Livingston, but he is best known for his two spells at Heart of Midlothian totalling about 18 years, where he is the club's all-time leading goalscorer. He has since managed Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Heart of Midlothian, Ross County, Livingston, Derry City and East Fife.

Edward Colin James Hendry is a Scottish professional football coach and former player. Hendry, who played as a defender, started his career with Dundee in 1983, and had spells at Blackburn Rovers, Manchester City, Rangers, Coventry City, Bolton Wanderers, and Blackpool. He was part of the Blackburn squad that won the English Premiership in 1995 and the Rangers squad that won the Scottish domestic treble in 1998–99. He has had management stints at Blackpool and Clyde.

Craig William Levein is a Scottish professional football player and coach who is currently a full-time advisor to the board of directors at Highland Football League club Brechin City. During his playing career he played for Cowdenbeath and Heart of Midlothian, making over 300 league appearances for the latter until he was forced to retire due to injury. He also won 16 caps for Scotland and was part of their 1990 FIFA World Cup squad.

Howard Melton Webb, MBE is an English former professional football referee who officiated primarily in the Premier League from 2003 to 2014, as well as for FIFA as a FIFA international referee from 2005 to 2014.
Gordon Dalziel is a Scottish football player and manager. Dalziel spent most of his playing career with Raith Rovers, scoring 170 goals in 308 league appearances, and winning the 1994–95 Scottish League Cup. He also played for Rangers, Manchester City, Partick Thistle, East Stirlingshire and Ayr United. Dalziel has managed Ayr United, Raith Rovers and junior club Glenafton Athletic.
Michaela Tabb is a Scottish professional referee in the sports of snooker and pool. She established significant milestones for female officials in professional cue sports, beginning in pool, where she officiated at top tournaments such as the WPA World Nine-ball Championship and the Mosconi Cup. She qualified in 2001 to referee on the World Snooker Tour and went on to become the sport's highest profile female referee, officiating on tour for 14 years. She became the first woman to officiate at a professional ranking snooker tournament at the 2002 Welsh Open, and the first woman to referee a ranking tournament final at the 2007 Welsh Open. As of 2021, she is the only woman ever to referee the World Snooker Championship final, which she did in both 2009 and 2012.

The 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup was the third edition of the women's football tournament, and was held in Azerbaijan from 22 September to 13 October, following a decision by the Executive Committee on 19 March 2010. Defending champions South Korea failed to qualify for the tournament. France won the title after defeating Korea DPR 1–1.
Michael Oliver is an English professional football referee from Ashington, Northumberland. His county FA is the Northumberland Football Association. He belongs to the Select Group of Referees in England and officiates primarily in the Premier League. He received his FIFA badge in 2012, allowing him to officiate in major international matches. Oliver was appointed to take charge of the final of the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Oliver was promoted to the UEFA Elite Group of Referees in 2018.

The 2012–13 Scottish Cup was the 128th season of Scotland's most prestigious football knockout competition. The tournament began on 4 August 2012 and ended on 26 May 2013. It was sponsored by bookmaker William Hill in the second season of a three-year partnership and is known as the William Hill Scottish Cup. The winner of the competition qualified for the third qualifying round of the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League. The holders Hearts were knocked out by their Edinburgh rivals Hibernian in the fourth round, in a repeat of the previous season's final.
Michelle Kerr is a Scottish football manager and former player who is currently the English Football Association's technical lead for women's national teams. As a player Kerr was a powerful centre back, who captained Scotland as well as clubs including Kilmarnock and Hibernian. During her playing career, Kerr won every domestic honour in Scotland and played in the UEFA Women's Cup. She won 59 caps for Scotland between 1989 and 2008, scoring three goals.
James McCluskey was a football referee from Scotland, who officiated in the 1991 FIFA Women's World Cup and the final of UEFA Women's Euro 1991.

Stéphanie Frappart is a French football referee. She has been on the FIFA International Referees List since 2009, and has refereed several high-profile matches. She became the first woman to referee a major men's European match and a French Ligue 1 match, both in 2019, and the first woman to officiate a UEFA Champions League match in 2020. In 2021 Frappart became the first woman to take charge of a men's World Cup Qualifying match.
Kylie Margaret Cockburn is a Scottish football match official who officiates generally in the role of assistant referee in the Scottish Professional Football League. She has also been appointed to matches in the UEFA Women's Champions League and the FIFA Women's World Cup. Cockburn was appointed to the FIFA list of women assistant referees in 2013. She received media attention when she became the first female match official at a top-division men's match in Scotland in 2014.
