Morocco at the FIFA Women's World Cup

The Morocco women's national football team has qualified to the FIFA Women's World Cup in one occasion, the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup which will also be the country's debut. [1] Morocco is also the first country from the Arab world to do so since the inception of the FIFA Women's World Cup in 1991. [2]

The group consisted of hosts New Zealand, Norway, the Philippines and Switzerland. The top two teams, Switzerland and Norway, advanced to the round of 16. New Zealand thus became the first FIFA Women's World Cup host country to be eliminated in the group stage. While this was the fifth time Norway finished second in a Women's World Cup group, this was Switzerland's first experience of topping a group in the tournament's history.

A win against Canada ensured Australia avoided a first group stage elimination since 2003 and following fellow hosts New Zealand, assuring every Women's World Cup up to 2023 had a host country participating in the knockouts. Nigeria progressed to the knockout stage for only the third time in their ninth Women's World Cup.

Group D of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup was one of eight groups that form the opening round of the tournament with the matches played from 22 July to 1 August 2023. The group consisted of England, Haiti, Denmark and China. The top two teams, England and Denmark, advanced to the round of 16. China failed to qualify for the Women's World Cup knockout stage for the first time ever, while England avoided that fate by winning all three group fixtures for only the second time and scored more group stage goals than ever before. Denmark managed to qualify for the Women's World Cup knockout stage for the first time since 1995, where both them and England were eliminated in the quarter-finals.
