Mohammad Mosaddek Hossain (born 25 November 1983 in Mymensingh, Dhaka), is a former first-class and List A cricketer from Bangladesh who was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm leg break bowler. He was sometimes known by his nickname "Rubel". [1] [2]

He played for Dhaka Division from 2000–01 to 2003, his career ending shortly before his 20th birthday. He played in seven one day matches for the Bangladesh Under-19s in the 2000 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He scored one first-class century, making 140 against Chittagong Division and took five wickets in an innings twice, with 5 for 46 for Bangladesh A against the Leeward Islands in 2001-02 being his best performance. [1] His other five-wicket haul also came during Bangladesh A's tour of the West Indies: he took 3 for 41 and 5 for 81 against the Windward Islands to help bring about the first first-class victory by any Bangladeshi representative team. The Bangladesh A cricket team is a cricket team representing Bangladesh, and is the second tier of international Bangladeshi cricket below the full Bangladesh national cricket team. The team played its first game, against the full Pakistan side, in Savar in January 2002.

The history of cricket in Bangladesh predates the foundation of the Bangladeshi state in 1971 by nearly two centuries. Cricket was introduced to Bengal by the British in the eighteenth century but its growth in East Bengal was slow. Following Partition and the creation of East Pakistan, both first-class and Test cricket were played there during the 1950s and 1960s. Although cricket continued to be popular after independence, especially in Dhaka, the country lost first-class status and had to establish itself in international competition as an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Khondaker Mosharraf Hossain is a first-class and List A cricketer from Bangladesh. He was born on 20 November 1981 in Dhaka and is a left-handed batsman and slow left arm orthodox bowler. He is sometimes known by his nickname Rubel. Making his debut in 2001/02 he has appeared for Dhaka Division up to the end of the 2006/07 season with a season for Barisal Division in 2004/05. He represented Bangladesh A in 2005/06 and 2006/07.

Dhaka Platoon Team in BPL

The Dhaka Platoon is a franchise cricket team that plays in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), representing the country's Dhaka Division. Following the 2015 competition, the Platoon are one of the BPL's seven existing members and are expected to participate in the league's 2019 edition. The team is headquartered at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, and so is one of three teams playing in the city, alongside the Dhaka Division cricket team and Dhaka Metropolis cricket team which are active in first-class cricket.

There are four cricket grounds at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan national sports institute in Savar, Dhaka. As well as serving the needs of the BKSP's students, the grounds have also staged first-class and List A cricket matches in Bangladeshi domestic competitions since 2000, and several minor international matches.

Nasir Hossain is a Bangladeshi cricketer. An all-rounder, Hossain made his One Day International (ODI) debut in August 2011 against Zimbabwe; two months later he made his Test debut against the West Indies. At domestic level he has represented Barishal Division, Chittagong Division, Rajshahi Division and Rangpur Division. He grew up in Bogra, Bangladesh.

In 2014-15 he made 250 and 282 in consecutive first-class innings and passed 1000 first-class runs in his 10th match. In October 2015, in his 12th first-class match, he became the first Bangladeshi player to score three double-centuries. He made his Test debut in March 2017.

Mohammad Nayeem Hasan is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Chittagong Division in the 2016–17 National Cricket League on 10 October 2015. He made his Test match debut for the Bangladesh cricket team in November 2018, taking five wickets in the first innings. In the process, he became the youngest bowler to take a five-wicket haul on debut in Tests, at the age of 17 years and 356 days.

The 2018–19 National Cricket League was the twentieth edition of the National Cricket League (NCL), a first-class cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. The tournament started on 1 October 2018, with eight teams placed into two tiers. Khulna Division were the defending champions.

The 2019–20 National Cricket League was the twenty-first edition of the National Cricket League (NCL), a first-class cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. The tournament started on 10 October 2019, with eight teams placed into two tiers. The matches were used as the national team's preparation for their Test series against India in November 2019. Rajshahi Division were the defending champions.
