Moses Kimeli Arusei (born 1983) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in marathon races. He has won competitions in Madrid, Seoul, and Thessaloniki. His personal best time of 2:06:50 hours was set at the 2008 Paris Marathon, where he came second.
He won on his debut over the distance at the 2005 Dresden Marathon and took a second consecutive win at the Alexander the Great Marathon in Greece the year after. [1] He set a personal best of 2:10:30 hours at the Frankfurt Marathon, coming second behind fellow Kenyan Wilfred Kigen. [2] His single major race of 2007 was the Berlin Marathon but he did not manage to reach the top ten. [1] He significantly improved his best at the Paris Marathon in April 2008 as he duelled against Tsegaye Kebede up to the 40 km and although he ended up as the runner-up to the Ethiopian he recorded a time of 2:06:50 hours. [3] He set a half marathon best of 1:01:31 at the Rotterdam Half Marathon later that year and went on to run at the Chicago Marathon, where he came in thirteenth place. [4] [1]
He ran two marathons in South Korea in 2009. In March he claimed his first victory since 2006 at the Seoul International Marathon, defeating high calibre opposition with a run of 2:07:54 hours. [5] He managed only fourth, however, at the less-established Gyeongju International Marathon in October. [6] He missed the 2010 season but returned with good form to take the title at the Madrid Marathon in April 2011. He defeated the defending champion, Thompson Cherogony, and his time of 2:10:58 hours was a race record for the hilly course. [7]
Moses Cheruiyot Mosop is a Kenyan middle and long distance athlete. He competed for Kenya at the 2004 Olympic Games and went on to take 10,000 metres bronze at the 2005 World Championships in Athletics. He has also been successful in cross country running, having won the silver at the 2007 IAAF World Cross Country Championships as well as team gold with Kenya in 2007 and 2009.
Bernard Kiprop Kipyego is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in the marathon. His personal best for the event is 2:06:22 hours. He has reached the podium at the Amsterdam Marathon, Chicago Marathon, Boston Marathon, Paris Marathon and Tokyo Marathon.

Tsegaye Kebede Wordofa is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who competes in road running events, including marathons. He quickly rose to become a prominent distance runner after his international debut at the Amsterdam Marathon in 2007. In his second year of professional running, he won the Paris Marathon, the Fukuoka Marathon and the marathon bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Patrick Makau Musyoki is a runner from Kenya. He is a former world record holder in the marathon—His time of 2:03:38, run at the 2011 Berlin Marathon, was the world record for two years, until it was beaten by Wilson Kipsang Kiprotich at the 2013 Berlin Marathon. He is also notable for his half marathon performances, having won a number of prominent competitions in Europe in sub-1-hour performances.
Emmanuel Kipchirchir Mutai is a long distance runner from Kenya, who specialises in marathons. As of January 2024 his time of 2:03:13 is now the joint 13th fastest. When he ran that time it was the 2nd fastest time ever and is the 3rd fastest ever with a non carbon shoe.
Sammy Kirop Kitwara is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specialises in road running events. He is coached by Moses Kiptanui. As of November 2023 he is the 33rd fastest half marathon runner in history, having run 58.48 in 2011, which was the 4th fastest ever at the time.
Gilbert Kipruto Kirwa is a Kenyan athlete who specialises in long-distance running and the marathon. His personal best for the marathon is 2:06:14 hours and has won races in Vienna and Frankfurt.
Wilson Kipsang Kiprotich is a Kenyan professional athlete who specialises in long-distance running, competing in events ranging from 10 km to the marathon. He was the bronze medallist in the marathon at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He is the former world record holder in the marathon with a time of 2:03:23, which he set at the 2013 Berlin Marathon. He has run under 2 hours 4 minutes for the marathon on four occasions.
Yemane Adhane Tsegay is an Ethiopian long distance runner who specialises in the marathon. He won the 2012 Rotterdam Marathon with a personal best time of 2:04:48 hours. He has also won marathons in Eindhoven, Gyeongju, Macau and Taipei.
Vincent Kipruto Limo is a Kenyan long distance runner who specialises in the marathon. He made his debut in the event in 2008 and won the Paris Marathon a year later. He then placed top three at the Chicago Marathon and the Rotterdam Marathon.
Geoffrey Kiprono Mutai is a Kenyan long distance runner who specialises in road running competitions. On 18 April 2011 at the Boston Marathon, Mutai ran the fastest marathon ever at the time in a time of 2 hours 3 minutes 2 seconds, though the time was not recognised by the International Association of Athletics Federations as a world record since the Boston course does not meet the criteria to be eligible for the mark.
Wilfred Kibet Kigen is a Kenyan long distance runner who primarily competes in marathon races in Germany. His personal best for the distance is 2:07:33 hours, set in 2007. He is a three-time winner of the Frankfurt Marathon and won the Hamburg Marathon in 2010, after having finished as runner-up on three occasions.
Dejene Yirdaw is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who specialises in the marathon. He represented Ethiopia at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics and has won the Gyeongju International Marathon and the Kosice Peace Marathon. He personal best for the distance is 2 hours and 8:30 minutes.
Benjamin Kolum Kiptoo is a Kenyan professional marathon runner. He has won marathons in Rome, Beijing and Chuncheon, and represented Kenya at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics. He holds a personal best of 2:06:31 for the distance, set en route to victory at the 2011 Paris Marathon. He also holds the fastest ever time recorded on Italian soil (2:07:17), with which he won the 2009 Rome City Marathon.

He has a personal best of 2:07:07 hours for the distance, set at the 2011 Prague Marathon, which he won. He also won the 2009 Turin Marathon and has placed top three in Rome, Beijing and Chuncheon.

Peter Kimeli Some is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in road running events, including the marathon. Some has a marathon best of 2:05:38 hours and a half marathon best of 1:00:21 hours. He won the 2013 Paris Marathon and the 2012 Brighton Marathon. He is the son of former runner Some Muge and the brother of Matthew Kisorio.
Jonathan Kiplimo Maiyo is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in half marathon and marathon events. His personal bests of 59:02 minutes and 2:04:56 hours, respectively, ranks him in the top twenty all-time in both events. He was also the silver medallist over 5000 metres at the 2012 African Championships in Athletics.
