Moses Schneider (born 1966 as Andreas Schneider) is a successful German rock music producer, known for his work with Tocotronic and Beatsteaks.
Moses Schneider first worked as an assistant engineer during the mid and late eighties at Sinus Studio and from 1987 until 1989 in the Hansa Tonstudio in Berlin where he received one of his first international credits as engineer on Pixies' "Bossanova". In 1990, Schneider finally became a freelance producer. He has produced, among others, Cetu Javu, Dendemann, Fehlfarben, T.Raumschmiere, Kreator and Turbostaat. He also worked together with Susie van der Meer. He has produced several number one and gold records with the Beasteaks (Smack Smash, 2003, Boombox, 2010) and Tocotronic (Schall und Wahn, 2009) and has been nominated for the best producer (Echo awards) in 2005 and 2007.
In 2011 he has released the highly acclaimed book "Das etwas andere Handbuch or How to pimp my Übungsraum" including tips and tricks and explanations about how to record your band in your rehearsal room. During his keynote at Sonic Visions, Schneider will focus on the producer's role in developing an artist's potential in the studio and share some of his working experiences. [1]

Working with the producer of the Strokes, Gordon Raphael, was another milestone in Moses' career. Schneider helped the Strokes producer, then based in New York, to success - he inspired Raphael in everything from his choice of equipment to musical interpretation.
In addition to teaching in the form of guest lectures at various colleges, Schneider summarizes his entire knowledge of live recording in his book "the alternative workbook or how to pimp your practice room". It is now mandatory reading for live recording. From positioning the band members in the recording room to positioning the mics - in the e-book, Schneider explains techniques to produce the best possible recordings without great expense as well as descriptions and sound samples. He shares his personal approach to producing and his practical experience, including recording the internationally renowned metal band Kreator. The introduction is by Strokes producer Gordon Raphael who took his inspiration from his work with Schneider.
Geoffrey Ernest Emerick was an English sound engineer and record producer who worked with the Beatles on their albums Revolver (1966), Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967) and Abbey Road (1969). Beatles producer George Martin credited him with bringing "a new kind of mind to the recordings, always suggesting sonic ideas, different kinds of reverb, what we could do with the voices".
The Strokes are an American indie rock band formed in New York City in 1998. The band is composed of lead singer and primary songwriter Julian Casablancas, guitarists Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond Jr., bassist Nikolai Fraiture, and drummer Fabrizio Moretti. They were a leading group of the early-2000s post-punk revival and garage rock revival movements.

Mark Ellis, known by his professional pseudonym Flood, is a British rock and synthpop record producer and audio engineer. Flood's list of work includes projects with New Order, U2, Nine Inch Nails, Marc and the Mambas, Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, Sneaker Pimps, King, Ministry, The Charlatans, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Erasure, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, PJ Harvey, Foals, a-ha, Orbital, Sigur Rós, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Killers, White Lies, Pop Will Eat Itself, Warpaint, EOB, and Interpol. His co-production collaborations have included projects with Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois, Steve Lillywhite, and longtime collaborator Alan Moulder, with whom he co-founded the Assault & Battery Studios complex. In 2006, his work with U2 led to his sharing of the Grammy Award for Album of the Year for How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.
Room on Fire is the second studio album by American rock band the Strokes, released on October 21, 2003, through RCA Records. Its title is derived from a lyric in the song "Reptilia".

Jermone Gregory Finn, sometimes credited as "Huckle" Jerry Finn, was an American record producer and mix engineer. He worked with numerous punk rock and pop-punk artists such as Blink-182, AFI, Sum 41, Alkaline Trio, Green Day, MxPx, and Rancid. Finn was known for the warm guitar tone present on albums he produced as well as the "punchy" sound of his mixes. He was instrumental in developing the polished sound of pop-punk in its second wave of popularity between the mid-1990s and early 2000s.
Steve Albini is an American musician, record producer, audio engineer, and music journalist. He was a member of Big Black, Rapeman, Flour, and is part of Shellac. He is the founder, owner, and the principal engineer at Electrical Audio, a recording studio complex in Chicago. In 2018, Albini estimated that he had worked on several thousand albums over his career. He has worked with acts such as Nirvana, Pixies, the Breeders, PJ Harvey, Gogol Bordello, and former Led Zeppelin members Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.
Gordon Raphael is an American record producer and musician from Seattle, Washington and New York, currently living in Hebden Bridge (UK), after a few years in Berlin. Raphael is most widely known for his work with The Strokes, whom he met while attending an early show at Luna Lounge on Ludlow Street, New York City. He produced their debut EP The Modern Age as well as their first two albums Is This It and Room on Fire. The EP and first album were recorded entirely in his basement studio Transporterraum NYC. He has also produced many songs with Sarah Maguire, Fake Chemical State for ex-Skunk Anansie lead singer Skin, Mexico's top rock band Fobia, and the well-loved album Soviet Kitsch by Regina Spektor.

Goo is the sixth full-length studio album by American alternative rock band Sonic Youth, released on June 26, 1990, by DGC Records. For this album, the band sought to expand upon its trademark alternating guitar arrangements and the layered sound of their previous album Daydream Nation (1988) with songwriting that was more topical than past works, exploring themes of female empowerment and pop culture. Coming off the success of Daydream Nation, Nick Sansano returned to engineer Goo, but veteran producer Ron Saint Germain was chosen by Sonic Youth to finish mixing the album following Sansano's dismissal.

His remastering work for Sixto Rodriguez appeared in the soundtrack for Searching for Sugar Man, which was awarded an Oscar for Best Documentary Feature in 2013. He also mixed These New Puritans' album Hidden, named album of the year in 2010 by NME magazine.
