Hum, also referred to as Hum Brdo (lit. "Hum Hill"), is a small mountain located north of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. At its top is the Hum Tower. In wider terms, Hum hill is considered as part of Sarajevo's Ozren. [1]

Most of the area has been designated as a park and recreational zone called Park Šuma Hum, and a number of sports and recreational facilities are planned for the near future. The very top of Hum offers views of Sarajevo, as well as the mountains Trebević, Igman and Bjelašnica. [2]

The 7th Muslim brigade was an elite all-volunteer brigade of the 3rd Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It served as the ARBiH's primary assault brigade in Central Bosnia, and was headquartered in Zenica. The brigade's manpower largely came from the cities of Zenica, Travnik, and Kakanj; however, there were soldiers from all over Bosnia who served in its ranks. During the war, the brigade liberated over 1,100 km2 of territory, including multiple cities, as well as numerous villages and mountains. Some of the most notable combat actions of the 7th Muslim brigade include the liberation of Vareš, Fojnica, Bugojno, Kakanj, and Travnik from the hands of HVO forces, as well as the defence of Mt. Igman and the liberation of liberation of Mt. Vlašić (Opaljenik), Teslić-Šerić (Jezera), Nabožić (Ilijaš), and Vozuća and the Ozren pocket from VRS forces.

Igman Olympic Jumps, also known as Malo Polje, is a defunct ski jumping hill on the mountain of Igman in Ilidža, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It consists of a large hill with a construction point (K-point) of 112 meters (367 ft) and a normal hill with a K-point of 90 meters (295 ft). Construction started in 1980 and the venue opened in 1982 to host ski jumping and Nordic combined at the 1984 Winter Olympics. The large hill event saw Finland's Matti Nykänen set the hill record of 116.0 meters (381 ft) in front of 90,000 spectators. No other International Ski Federation (FIS) sanctioned competitions have taken place at the hills. During the Siege of Sarajevo, the hills became a battleground and have since not been used. However, there are plans to rebuild the in-run, expand the large hill and build new spectator stands and visitor facilities.

The Bobovica is the richest tributary of upper flow of Vrbanja river, although it is marked on some maps as "Kruševica". However, the latter name is for another river about 30 kilometers downstream. Bobovica's length is around 12 km. Its mouth is in Kruševo Brdo. During the 1960s, there were about 15 mills on this river, the mouth of which is in Obodnik.

The Bila river is the largest tributary of the Lašva river. The Bila river flows past the settlements of Stara Bila and Nova Bila, with a length of approximately 35 km. Originating from Vlašić mountain, in the area of Prelivode and Meupić mountain, it flows south to south-east toward Lašva valley where it spills into the Lašva river.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Glasinac</span> Karst plateau in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Glasinac is a karst plateau, situated in the eastern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on Romanija mountain, in the middle of Dinaric Alps. The main feature of the plateau is the Glasinačko Polje, a polje of 22 square kilometres, 7 km long, at an altitude of between 850 and 920 meters. The plateau consists of specious meadows and pastures, characteristic of the eastern part of Bosnia, whose lower levels consists of mostly hard impermeable rocks. The Glasinac plateau is surrounded by coniferous forests and peaks of Romanija, Bogovićka mountain, Gradina, Rab, Crni Vrh, Kopit and Kratelj. Sokolac town is located in the center of Glasinac, and has about 12,000 inhabitants.
