History

Mphasis was incorporated on 10 August 1992 as BFL Software Limited. [2] [5] Company disclosures state that the business was formed in June 2000 following the merger of Mphasis Corporation and BFL Software Limited. The corporate name later changed from Mphasis BFL Limited to Mphasis Limited. [6] [2]

In April 2016, private equity funds managed by Blackstone agreed to acquire a majority stake in Mphasis from Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Reuters described the transaction value as up to about US$1.1 billion depending on the open offer outcome, and Blackstone announced the deal in a press release. [7] [8]

Mphasis provides IT services and consulting. In investor communications, the company highlights areas such as cloud and cognitive services. Acquisitions and investments

In October 2023, Mphasis announced the acquisition of Silverline, a New York-based Salesforce services partner, for about US$132.5 million. Business Standard reported the purchase price and described Silverline as a Salesforce service partner and digital transformation consultancy. [10] [11]

In July 2025, Mphasis announced that its U.S. subsidiary acquired a 26% preferred equity stake in Aokah. The company described Aokah as a platform intended to support global capability center operations, and disclosed the investment through a press release and stock exchange intimation. [12] [13]
