Mridula Vijai is an Indian actress who predominantly works in the Malayalam television industry as well as in a few Tamil films. [1]

Early life

Mridula was born as Sreelakshmi to Vijaikumar and Rani Vijaikumar. [2] She later changed her name to Mridula and is settled in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. She has a younger sister, Parvathy, who is also a television actress. [3]

Personal life

Mridula got engaged to television actor Yuva Krishna on 23 December 2020. [4] The couple married on 8 July 2021 at Attukal Temple, Thiruvananthapuram. [5] They have a daughter named Dhwani Krishna, born in 2022. [6]

Career

Mridula played a minor role in the Tamil film Nooram Naal directed by Raja Desingu. She made her debut as a lead actress in the Tamil movie Jennifer Karuppayya, playing the role of Rosy. She was associated with two projects, 'Infinity’ and 'Next Token Number’, which did not materialize. She also acted in the Malayalam film Celebration, which was a box office failure.

In 2015, she made her television debut with Kalyanasougandhikam on Asianet, and later, her popularity increased with the series Krishnathulasi on Mazhavil Manorama. She also played a significant role in the hit series Manjurukum Kalam. Mridula replaced Sonu Satheesh Kumar in the series Bharya, portraying the character Rohini. [7] She has participated in reality shows such as Dancing Stars, Comedy Stars, Ammayimaar Varum Ellaam Sheriyaakum, Star War, Surya Jodi No.1, Tamar Patar, Let's Rock & Roll, and Star Magic.
