Mughal-e-Funk is an instrumental funk band from Pakistan. The band comprises Kami Paul (drummer), Farhan Ali (bass), Rakae Jamil (sitar), and Rufus Shahzad (keyboards & synths). [1] The band has featured in popular shows including Coke Studio, [2] Levi's Live, and Bisconni Music. [3] [4]

Bisconni Music

Mughal-e-Funk appeared in the music show, Bisconni Music and performed Sakal Ban (originally written by Amir Khusrau) with Meesha Shafi. [5] The song was also featured by Rolling Stone India. [6] They also performed Meda Ishq with Mohammad Aizaz Sohail and Mahnoor Altaf. [7]

Sultanat

Mughal-e-Funk released its debut ep Sultanat [1] in 2018. The EP comprises six songs and each song is named after a Mughal Emperor. [8]

Farhad Humayun was a Pakistani singer, drummer, record producer and video artist. He was popularly associated with the Pakistani drum jam band Overload which he founded in 2003. Farhad started his career as underground musician and formed two bands Co-Ven and Mindriot as a drummer. He worked with artists such as Atif Aslam, Symt, Maha Ali Kazmi and Meesha Shafi. Humayun received many awards and accolades for his work. He was also the owner of Riot Studios, a recording studio and music performance venue in Lahore.

Kashan Admani(Full name: Muhammad Kashan Admani) is a Pakistani musician, composer, music producer, film producer, film director, guitar player, founder of music band Mizmaar, and the CEO of Dream Station Productions. Born in Karachi, Kashan has performed with Simon Phillips.

Khan FM is a Dubai-born singer-songwriter, and lead vocalist and one of three guitarists for Dubai-based rock band, Chronicles of Khan. He has also released music under the name Sound of Nomads & is currently leading Artist & Label Partnerships in South Asian emerging markets for Spotify.
