Mujrim Haazir is a TV show based on Bimal Mitra's classic novel Asami Hazir. It aired on Doordarshan in 1988. The show was directed by Rakesh Chowdhary, and produced by Samvaad Video Private Limited. The story was adapted for television by writer Mir Muneer. The secondary theme "Gun Guna" (adapted from "Palkir Gaan") was played whenever Nutan's character rode a Palki. This was Navni Parihar's debut serial.

Nutan, Utpal Dutt, Rita Bhaduri, Rajeev Verma, Navni Parihar, [1] Virendra Singh, Mangal Dhillon and others star in the show. [2] The show was Nutan's final work before her death. [3]

Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor Film award

The Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor is given by Filmfare as part of its annual Filmfare Awards for Hindi films, to recognise a male actor who has delivered an outstanding performance in a supporting role. Although the awards started in 1954, awards for the best supporting actor category started only the following year 1955. As of 2016, Pran, Amrish Puri, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Anil Kapoor lead the list, with three wins each. Vivek Oberoi currently also holds the record of being the youngest recipient of the award, whereas Rishi Kapoor holds the record for being the eldest, while Abhishek Bachchan holds the record for winning the award thrice consecutively.

<i>Angoor</i> (1982 film) 1982 Indian Hindi-language comedy film

Angoor (transl. Grape) is a 1982 Indian Hindi-language comedy film. It stars Sanjeev Kumar and Deven Verma in double roles, and directed by Gulzar. It is a remake of the Indian film Do Dooni Char which was a remake of 1963 Bengali language comedy film Bhranti Bilas, that is based on Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar's Bengali novel by the same name, which itself is based on Shakespeare's play The Comedy of Errors and is again getting adapted by Rohit Shetty as Cirkus. All characters are innocent and destiny plays the main role in bringing all characters to one place. Most of the other films are generally based on false characters and deliberately make false statements to fool others.

Chandrakanta is an epic fantasy Hindi novel by Devaki Nandan Khatri. Published in 1888, it was the first modern Hindi novel. It gained a cult following, and contributed to the popularity of the Hindi language. The copyright on the novel expired in 1964 and it is now in public domain, along with other titles by the author.

The soundtrack for the movie also contributed to its huge success. "Chithi Aayi Hai" was selected as one of the 100 songs of the millennium by BBC Radio worldwide.

Chotti Bahu is an Indian drama television series produced by DJ's a Creative Unit. Season one aired from 8 December 2008 to 17 September 2010 and season two aired from 15 February 2011 to 18 May 2012 on Zee TV. It starred Avinash Sachdev as Dev and Rubina Dilaik as Radhika. Sasural Simar Ka 2 Serial was inspired by this story.

Seema Parihar is an Indian politician and former bandit. She was a member of the Samajwadi Party. Parihar claims that her inspiration is Phoolan Devi, who was known as the Bandit Queen, and had also been a bandit before becoming a politician. She was a contestant in Bigg Boss in 2010.

Katha Sagar is an Indian television series that aired on DD National in 1986. The series featured a collection of stories by writers from around the world, including Katherine Mansfield, Guy De Maupassant, Leo Tolstoy, O. Henry, Anton Chekov etc. Each episode was directed by one of eight well known Indian directors, including Shyam Benegal, Kundan Shah, Ved Rahi and Satyen Bose. <i>Pradhanmantri</i>

Pradhanmantri is an Indian television political documentary series, hosted by actor-director Shekhar Kapur on Hindi news channel ABP News. It premiered on 13 July 2013. It aimed to bring to the audience never-seen-before facts of Indian history. The weekly programme chronicles the history of India from 1947 to the present day. The TV series was hosted by the renowned film-maker, actor and host Shekhar Kapur and directed by Puneet Sharma. It was a unique attempt to present the changes in the country during the tenures of 13 prime ministers in the last 65 years. Pradhanmantri aired every Saturday at 10 pm. Raghi Papiya Joshi and Sohan Thakur are casting directors.

Navni Parihar is an Indian film and television actress. She made her debut with the TV serial Mujrim Haazir as the main lead alongside Nutan and Utpal Dutt. In the 90s, she was one of the most sought after top lead actresses of television. Her first commercial film was Hulchul opposite Vinod Khanna, and starring Ajay Devgan and Kajol. Her career spans over three decades across various genres and formats. During her career she has worked with multiple actors such as Irffan Khan, Om Puri, Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta, Kareena Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Salman Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kartik Aryan, and Bhumi Pednekar. Subsequently, she has won many awards for her work.
