Mukne Dynasty or Mukane Dynasty (also spelled as Mukna, Mookna, Mookne, and Mukni) was the ruling dynasty of the Jawhar State. Koli chief Jayabha Mukne founded it in the middle of the 14th century. [1] [2] [3] It traces its origin from Mukane. The Mukne Dynasty ruled Jawhar for six hundred years, up until 1947.
Jawhar is a city and a municipal council in Palghar district of Maharashtra state in Konkan division of India. Jawhar was a capital city of the erstwhile Koli princely state of Jawhar. Situated in the ranges of the Western Ghats, Jawhar is known for its picturesque setting and a vibrant cultural heritage. It is one of the few remaining tribal regions of Maharashtra and is known for its vibrant Warli painting that are a characteristic landmark of this place. Established in 1918, Jawhar is one of the oldest municipal councils in the state of Maharashtra and tourist spot near Mumbai.

Kolhapur State or Kolhapur Kingdom (1710–1949) was a Maratha princely State of India, under the Deccan Division of the Bombay Presidency, and later the Deccan States Agency. Yashwantrao Martandrao Mukne (V) was an Indian Maharaja of Jawhar State, a flight lieutenant in the Royal Indian Air Force, politician, social worker and a former Member of Parliament from Bhiwandi for the 3rd Lok Sabha and Dahanu for the 4th Lok Sabha as a member of the Indian National Congress.
Dewas Senior was established by Tukoji Rao I Pawar during the Maratha conquest of Central India. It was a 15 Gun Salute Maratha princely state. On 12 December 1818 it became a British protectorate.
